What's with all the moving lines and how does one make sense out of it?
The Yi hit it in 8 when it said, "Ask yourself, why it was important to ask yourself this question; to get to know where you're coming from." The question is important to me because I need to be loved. I seek union, just like 8 is so astutely saying. I desire connection and belonging and creating a new world out of relationships.
As a side note, I have read here that the Yi cannot see into other peoples psyche. This passage from 30 suggests that maybe we can, and it does confirm my own conviction that people can. I know for me, I have very strong feeling about this girl. The question I have been asking myself for the last four weeks is why? This passage give me some strong hints that we can see: The ancient Chinese character for Clarity shows a flying bird, and a net to capture it. Birds are messengers; this one represents flashes of insight, the way things can light up and shine out clearly. We weave a net of concepts to grasp the message and hold its meaning in awareness. This is not passive seeing, but a meeting of outer and inner light.
Seeing the truth and holding to it with constancy bears fruit. Then the moment of insight can become lasting awareness, so that we enter into creative communication with the signs and messages around us, and truly see other people.
But no matter how truthful and helpful that is, the moving lines are confusing. As always, I appreciate your help and candor. :bows:
