Hello Everyone :). I have been trying to decide if I should or should not take a job offer I received recently. I feel somewhat torn between these two options, stay at my old job or move on to the new job:brickwall:. So, I asked the IC

"What do I need to see in order to make a decision?" and got 30.1 > 56
(I also asked this question earlier and got 5 unchanging, an IC no no, I know:blush:)

:confused::confused::confused:

I also asked for a picture of me working at option A (new job ) and got 30 unchanging

and a picture of me at option B (old job) and got 64.1.4>41

:brickwall::brickwall::brickwall:

I'll be honest... This could be a very good move, or a very bad move. I would really like to take the new offer, but not sure if it is the right move. Anyone have any idea what any of this means?...Please help!!!
And thank you in advance:):):)...

Sincerely :confused:,

dancing ferret - i consider neither 23 nor 59 to be auspicious.
23 that there is an ending leading to an all over the place feeling.

my take on it is that if you leave the move will be unsettling for you
- maybe this lack of certainty you currently feel will follow you.

there is something you are afarid to leave in this current job - and i
think you may need to consider it. Will you lose some benefits - for
example a pension plan?

Moving to the new job 30 is good synergy - staying where you are either
in your physical or emtional world is going to be trying 64 >41.

If you have 2 year rights in your current job be sure you are not being
edged out early - what is this managers agenda in making your life
uncomfortable? I have seen managers with remits to edge out staff before
they get full employment rights - 2 yrs in uk. How long have you been there.

Somehow i think you need to get some employment/union advice - i am
not sure what support you are getting or the importance of this current
employment to you.

If he is bullying you keep a log and report him - look more closely at the
discomfort i think. Confusion means you need more information:bows:

I think these answers simply show the fact you can't make a choice yet, its still early morning. Being indecisive right now is good, fine , okay. So interestingly its not answering you except to say 'yes you don't know, you are torn' which says to me that state of indecision is precisely the right place for you to be, you can't hurry this along. Its as if the indecsion were a real part of the process here....as opposed to our usual wish to end indecision these answers practically endorse and encourage it. So you aren't yet clear 30.1...and nor can you be yet (hex 5)

I also asked for a picture of me working at option A (new job ) and got 30 unchanging

not sure about that

and a picture of me at option B (old job) and got 64.1.4>41

I'm not sure about 'show me a picture of' questions since I tend to find Yi answers what is or will be over hypotheticals. I actually think this answer may be re iterating your first answers. Its too soon to make a decision

I think this answer might be addressing you finishing what you started in your current job...or at least it seems to me thats something to think about. If you move on too soon you soak your tail, its embarrasing, you wonder why you did it (64.1) and theres still alot of work to do there , in the old job (64.4). The 41 suggests whats asked of you
may be something you've been unable to meet yet

Infact one could say the new job looks alot easier/clearer than the old one....the old one could appear symbollically with this reading as a huge pile of unsorted papers and documents that you'd like to turn your back on but have to tackle (64.4) whilst the 30 shining brightly is a whole new fresh set of accounts books (or whaever it is) but the 30 is unchanging, double fire, about what we depend on as fuel, sustainability and unchanging hexagrams often leave us with a question...

I think the Yi has told you to let indecision take its course because you may need to think about where you are with the work you've been doing and how important it is to you or not to complete it ? maybe its not just about the 'job' but also about your work...and they are different things aren't they ?

I'm not sure if it were my reading if I would leave the old job without more thought about what I was actually doing there. You see in 64.4 its hard slog but its worth it. With 30 unchanging you have a fresh fuel source so to speak but will it nourish and sustain you in terms of your overall purpose in your working life ? I'm wondering if theres the sense the new job could sort of burn itself out quite quickly in terms of your interest whereas the old job though a slog or tedious in some way may actually be worth sticking with because you are only half way accross in that job. Whatever you set out to achieve there you haven't quite yet. You made an offering (41), you made a commitment by the look of it (64.1.4) do you want to stay to see it through is the question ?

Maybe you need to think about overall goals and job satisfaction and try to sort of put new job/old job more in those terms than terms of what you feel suits you most right now

Of course if this is a humdrum job you never had any interest in my interpretation really won't apply :)

I agree with Hopex 30 looks the smoother path...and yet theres a niggle there that you may be leaving something quite meaningful behind if you leave the old job. that you need to see through to the end.

Now if you work in Macdonalds my interpretation will need rescaling :D

My current job isn't good... It is a sales job and the only thing I have at this job is I am a closer. The new position I would just find leads. There are, of course, unknowns, and it is always a little risky to make a change, and that is the only thing holding me back. My current job is very low paying and no benefits. A long commute too. Almost everyone is new because all the employees left for better paying jobs where there work would also be appreciated. Since I have been finding leads for the new team I haven't made any money. Literally. I made 0 dollars last week and worked like 25 hours. They haven't closed one deal for me yet! So, if I stay, I'm going back to closing for sure, but I'm not that experienced as a closer either. I've only closed like one deal completely on my own, and only 6 total, mostly with help from the old closing team. It is a lot of pressure and uncertainty to stake my livelihood on closing only, although if I had to say what was holding me back I would say I don't want to give up being a closer. If I just find leads I feel very dependent. But, the new position offers almost as much just for finding a lead as my current job does for closing one, and they have good closers with experience so I should make money there.

wow your answers fit so perfectly...the new job , dependence, hex 30. The old one...you haven't actually completed closing apart from one deal (hex 64) But I feel the 64.1.4 does kind of indicate you will...that it might not be a good idea to let this go so soon . I mean 64...not yet completed. 64.1 letting go too soon, 64.4 succeeding after alot of struggle. 30 as you say yourself increased dependence.

But I don't think Yi is telling you what to do here. It doesn't always. I think you have a clear idea of pros and cons, now its down to you. There is no definate indicator for choice here IMO...but it does seem as you say you wish to complete something there

30 might be brighter of course...but I wouldn't go there just on that basis. It wouldbe a drag to leave just as a load of deals were about to be closed and thats what you could be in danger of.

Thank you both of you... :bows: Hopex, you are right. There is something holding me back. And, although the casting isn't auspicious, neither option is great, is it? So you got me thinking... Is it worth it?
Thank you so much Trojan:)... That is exactly what is going on, and the hexagrams do fit well with this situation. I do know how to close now. I know the basic parameters. Could iron out a few wrinkles here and there, and maybe get some more experience. Granted I did not achieve the detailed experience I wanted to, but I generally did what I set out to do... And I think the only reason the IC isn't giving me a clear go is because of my own hesitancy... So, I got to thinking, maybe I could do both.

So I asked the IC "Could I do both?" and I got 17.5>51.

This is an auspicious casting isn't it? Not sure what it is saying. Might be saying to rest and recuperate, something better will be found... That would be easier with the new job. Is it maybe saying I could do both? I could find leads during the week for my new job, and go out and close my own on the weekends... Any ideas on this? And thank you so much again for all your help! I think this last question should help clear it up:blush::):):)...:bows::bows::bows:

I like like this answer becasue it supports or makes sense of the 30.1 and the 5 answer. I don't thinksomehow there was a decision of either/or to be made in a hurry . I think those answers were kind of asking you to tarry in limbo land a while.

If you can can sort have both on the go then 17.5 seems to show this is an ideal path to follow.

BTW I haven't properly read your other threads so don't know the background as well as others. The one thing I do feel quite strongly is theres no rush on this decision...its okay for it all to get a little messy and confusing, it really is or you wouldn't have had 30.1 and 5. Doing both, somehow, would actually describe that confusion in 30.1. I think 17.5 shows you are on the right path with that suggestion. Don't let anyone hurry you on this as other things may comeinto view thats why its important to let things remain fuzzy and unsure ...and a little mixed up for a while

Oh yeah there could of course be another third factor apart from these 2 jobs that makes letting things stay undecided a while a good idea

17.5 generally suggests ones follows ones highest ideal...

Thank you Trojan! That sounds right to me... I'm going to explore the possibility of doing both and follow up tomorrow with a store where I applied for a job. I have a better idea of my best options now, and I'll just have to wait and see how it all pans out... I have a few ideas on how to play this though now. I'd really love it if I got the job at the store and could take the new job offer! That would be a great combo!
Thanks again Trojan...:bows::bows::bows:
