30.2 > 14 Golden Light

Hi everyone,

I don't post here often but I come here a lot to benefit from everyone's generous interpretations. I thought I'd share a reading I received today. It's been a very tough few years and I'm working hard to double down on spiritual practice and radical self-care. I've been doing a meditation on golden light of healing and forgiveness — a psychic told me long ago that I had too much intense white light, which he interpreted as too much head and not enough heart, and that I needed to focus on golden light. So that came back to me recently and I've been working with it (he didn't really tell me how, so I'm winging it). There's no doubt that I feel that my life is at a turning point; I'm 56 and nothing I've done before in work or relationships has borne fruit, and there's a lot to let go of.

This morning I asked, "What will be the nature of the next phase of my life?" The response: 30.2. "Clear golden light. From the source, good fortune."

I couldn't have asked for better encouragement. Pretty great!

May I throw in a wee bit of caution? Yi did not indicate in that reading when the "next phase" of your life would start. Maybe tomorrow. Maybe ten years from now.

I agree that the reading is very positive, and I'd be delighted to receive it. But it's easy to get a reading like that and expect things to change for the better very soon. That's not necessarily true (although I hope for your sake it is).

Hi. Apparently Trojina asked for feedback last November; I would have had no way of knowing that. I just came across this post that I wrote in 2014 as I received the same reading today. I'm sorry to say that the last seven years have been pretty challenging and lonely, so whatever the golden light was, it hasn't manifested yet, as Liselle warned.

Thank you for updating, though, Hypnotist, it's really helpful. In this case maybe it gives us a tiny idea that 30.2 isn't necessarily as positive as it sounds, or that - likely - we're missing something and should look closer.

There are other things in the I Ching like that. For instance, people have posted experiences where hexagram 42 hasn't worked out well, and Hilary had to put a disclaimer into WikiWing about 62.2 (the calling crane line). "Which is not to be confused with a fully-realised successful relationship," she said, with typographical emphasis born of people's painful experiences.

I want to close the circle on this thread and thank everyone here again for their past feedback. It has been an astonishingly hard decade, with the last four years since 2020 intensely difficult and increasingly solitary (so much of hexes 18/36/47 in these past years, with a lot of personal work sorting out early trauma as well as the external challenges of pandemic/post-pandemic life). Just as predicted, the promise of the "golden light," I think, simply meant that I would have to work very hard with tenacity and faith to keep my light shining even a little bit. And even now, especially now, I'm learning how important it is not to diminish it but to believe in myself and the light within me. I received 30.2 again today in a query about the best approach to improving my income, and was reminded again. Thank you everyone, I hope this is helpful.

Interesting thread. I’ve known golden light and white light to be one’s core essence, the light, which can look like a sun within. I call it the sun of oneself. It is our source of abundance as well as the abundance we are bc it is literally source itself in our fractal form.

Maybe the Yi was telling you you’d have great need to turn within to it and bring it out in your life bc there’d be hardship. When we’re going through that tunnel, we look for the white light at the end of it.

Sometimes it’s not external to us, but the light within. I think then we master this inner light and begin to channel it to use it to change our outward circumstances, including improving the nature of the abundance we experience. You seem to have experienced the abundance of lots of soul lessons, which the soul thrives on, but the ego groans over.

Maybe now it’s time to channel your core essence into different creative possibilities and not just opportunities for learning and healing.

Barbara Brennan writes about our core essence in her books. She also channeled her higher self in poetry form in a book called “Seeds of the Spirit.” It’s an easy, beautiful read. If you’re interested in such topics.
