Once I pay my rent each week I'm left with very little money for other things such as food. This has been going on for many years except when I've had work.
Recently I received an inheritance but I could see that start to trickle away so I've put it in a term deposit so at least I've got a nest egg in my retirement which is another 7 years away.

How can I improve my present financial position 33.6>31.
Do things a different way. Retreat from my present way of doing things. Not sure how to do that although I've decided to pursue trying to get the disability pension due to my PTSD.
This is a long and ardous task as they need a LOT of documented evidence. As I've worked through it mostly on my own there's not much to prove it's affected my life.
I'm concerned if I start pursuing this because of the need to get evidence it might affect my mental health.

How worthwhile is it to use my energy to pursue the Disability pension

It actually looks like I'll get a lot of support particularly if I do it for the right reasons.

33.6 is advising I think that active seeking is something you can let go and getting disability money would be a very 33.6ish thing to do.

Evidence is so important but it is worth the effort to gather everything you can think of.

Also 20.6 advises you to look to see what other people do to get their disability money. Many others have done this before you, watch them, use online forums, do research. If it is anything like the UK these benefits are given on points systems and if you understand where you need to get the points and how many you stand a better chance. It may take a huge effort but if it saves you struggling with working at jobs you really aren't well enough for then it's worth it. I don't think this needs to be a lone effort, I think there will be probably people online talking about the issues they had for getting money for PTSD.

Maybe reading stuff online as Trojina suggests will at least give you a feel for it, before you spend too much energy trying to do it for yourself. If you can get the forms to look at while reading, maybe even better. Both of those are ways to look and see, which is 20.

20 also says, "Seeing. Washing hands, and not making the offering." It's about seeing, getting a good overview from a high vantage point, then pausing before actually doing anything. Maybe Yi's giving you just a first step to take.

I think it's interesting you got 20.6 instead of 20.5. 20.5 would be plunging right in: this is about your own life. Even look at its fan yao, 23.5:
'String of fish
Through the favour of the palace people.
Nothing that does not bear fruit."

That would sound like encouragement to me. Do what you already, obviously, know you have to do - compile all this stuff about your own life, and it'll work out. But that's not the advice, at least not right now. Maybe 20.6-ing will be enough to prove to you that you either do or do not want to go ahead.

To improve your present financial position you are advised to step back - withdraw not run away from - from your concerns and the conflict that it causes within you (33) Focus on things that make you feel 'wealthy in other ways' will give you the respite you need right now. When the time is right, and you'll know when that is, you will be able to re-engage with improving your finances with improved vigour (31).

There will be some personal challenges for you to work through, however, with a concerted effort you can make a success of the application - especially by asking for the help you need when you need it. Although it may not be always plain sailing, there is a good chance that things will come together for you.

Heed the warning in Hex 8. So, you will be working in a context where he who arrives late gets trapped. This has a feel for me of not being something that will fall into place easily. only you can decide if it is going to be worthwhile. Be sure you are ready to take it on.

...or it may be nothing like this at all.

Good Luck

Thank you Trojina, Liselle and my_key.
I'm taking it slowly. No way I want it to turn into something I HAVE to make happen and get caught in the complexeties of it triggering my PTSD.
I hadn't thought of looking online. The main evidence is a psychologist report. The last one I went to said, after 1 session, I can see your capable of working so no to a report....I didn't go back.
That was a few years ago now so maybe I'll find someone who actually understands trauma.

That's also a way this is about other people, not just you laboring away on forms. 20.6, not 20.5.
