Hi everyone,

Being in a bit of a crossroad where I felt called to choose between my various artistic inclinations, because I just don't have time and energy to take them all simultaneous to the next level, I started investing more in my dancing.
I am dancing professionally, I really really work hard, but I'm just one more, a medium level highly dedicated and passionate one, but one more in the crowd.
That's not a problem per se, I truly am in it for the dancing, I love it.
What bothers me is if I'm not gonna take my career far and in some years the body's potential is extinguished, maybe I could already take a turn here and invest more on the other skills I somehow left behind. And take dancing more occasionally-informally...

So I asked,
Am I on a path of becoming a high level advanced dancer? 37 1. 3. 5. > 23

This felt good...!
It felt like there is still many stages and phases to go through but ultimately line5 feels very positive.
L1 can describe my introduction above, when I gathered my inner family, all my artistic members within, and secluded them inside dancing. There was no remorse in this.
Now L3 is very puzzling to me. It talks about discipline but not being overly severe, but as well mentions this child and this woman that take it to lightly and that brings them humiliation. Is this a warning I shouldn't have fun and play around? Well, I'm actually know for being able to work really hard and have a giggle at the same time, will this become a problem?
What could be the King in line5 my own inner authority, or someone exterior?

And how do you see this 23 here? I'm always a bit afraid of this hexagram, it sounds so violent...

Thank you in advance for your opinions

hi,
while you made your question... did you imaging a dead line... to arrive to be a high level advanced dancer?
well.. if you imaging a dead line to be... this mean obviously that you will not be a... in the time that you have imaged.
if the deadline of your question was generic.... well... this mean that unfortunately you don't be one.... but a you will get an opportunity probably in the same area.
I don't like to write something like this... but is seams that you just scored your maximum as dancer and more is not possible... you had write...I felt called to choose between my various artistic inclinations... so are you sure to have chosen the right artistic inclinations?

I cannot see the high level of professionalism that you are thinking about. So be content with your achievements to date.

Ufff.... thank you, WF and Patro.

So why do all the lines sound so promising? Why does a King join his family?

Willowfox, I know you are not in the habit of explaining your interpretations but perhaps you Patro can explain me where you see that of me reaching my highest level. I don't read that anywhere...
I see 3 lines that say "good fortune" in the context of an hexagram that talks about a family (like a dance company!) where the perseverance of the woman furthers...

Patro, the natural deadline is the deadline of the body, and I'm not growing younger. Normally I have 3-5 more years, with loads of luck it can go up to 10.

I'm a bit shocked with your readings... but thankful anyways... I even thought line3 was an advice to take it even more seriously (!!!!!!) - but that's why i am a newbie and you're not, and that's why I came here for advice.

Therefore the dreaded question:

Is it beneficial for me to invest less hours in dancing and dedicate myself more to my writings and performances?

43 .5.6 > 14

Is it really time to move on, am I being called to make this strong resolution/breakthrough?
In L5 I see no exaggerated actions for the time being - walking in the middle. But in any case there are weeds (bad habits of mine, silly expectations and dreams?) to be cut off.
L6 just scares me.

... now I am specially thankful for anyone's insight !!!!!!!

Thanks,
Y

don't worry yoana,
but it's simply and easy to see.
you are moving from a safe ambient like a family to Splitting Apart.
all your engagement to be an high score dancer are just right.... first and third line... you work very hard for that and the 2 first moving lines confirm this.... and are not fortune teller.
than you have fifth line... it say... a generous and warm, relationship consists between the leader and his followers.... success comes through good influence...
well, is it so? and... success comes through good influence... it seams that you think to don't need advices.
than you got 23... normally it's a bad hex.

and now
Is it beneficial for me to invest less hours in dancing and dedicate myself more to my writings and performances? 43 -> 14
it seams to be the right way or it seams that you are on the right way to find the right solution.... but attention you must full cautions... and definitively you will find it.
I advice you to investigate a little bit more.

I didn't mean to upset you but that's just the way I saw it, without the frills.

The lines suggest this, line 37.1 as you are not getting younger it will become increasing more difficult to make you body do that something extra special, all you are doing is increasing the work load to stay in the same place.

Line 37.3 indicates that trying to make your body "perform" by taking up and even tougher dance routine will lead to regret, so better to for you to observe moderation.

Line 37.5 The King is supposed to be wise, and as an elder no longer can "perform" like a Page or a Knight.

Hex 23 This shows two things, one that there are many new and much younger dancers pushing strongly to get into the limelight, so they are pushing you out and secondly, it suggests that dance performance does not get better and better with age, but declines. So what to do, just remember that you have reached a good level, so don't force your body to do more than is possible.

Think, which will give you the greater reward as you get older? Which one holds the greatest potential for success in the future?

IMO there is no way whatsoever one can conclude from this answer whether or not you are on your way to being a high level dancer.

37 is about where you feel comfortable, where you feel at home..maybe you feel very at home in the world of dance and find in it some sense of refuge from other things that have fallen apart (23) Mmm on re reading where i underlined I think actually the 23 referred to the 'pruning' you did of your other interests...some things had to go (23).....so you could put your focus where it belongs (37) ie dance

I don't know but if i were you i would just keep on working hard at it. 37.1 shows you are fully, almost exclusively involved with this, , 37.3 that you need to take it seriously and 37.5 perhaps a very good teacher, or someone who extends an opportunity to you..or maybe you will teach ?

Hexagram 23 does not refer to the future IMO..it is more likley to be the context or the background to the question so there is no need to worry about the 23. perhaps you are coming out of a time where everything seemed to collapse around you and your dance work became your security, your family so to speak....

All seems good to me ! I think the way to go is to continue on...reevaluating on each step of the way., not entirley shutting down other options because that wouldn't be sensible...but I do think 37 here is an indication that dance is a world where you feel at home...and maybe even if you didn't reach the heights you wish to attain ( though there is nothing in the answer to say you won't) you could still make a living involved in the dance world anyway ?

Trojan, it's really curious you bring that forth, because that was exactly the way I read it in the first place. I even knew who the teacher was, he recently walked into my life (I mentioned him in one of arabella's post on 16.2) and immediately I knew we had something to do together. Lucky enough his beautiful sweet girlfriend is there to let me know it wont be of a romantic nature.. ;)

And you are right on one very important thing: "maybe you feel very at home in the world of dance and find in it some sense of refuge from other things that have fallen apart (23)"
Yes, and despite what the Y might or might not be saying, I have to go on dancing. It's what my heart says and as respectful as I am of the book's wisdom, ultimately I am following my heart.

Nevertheless, WF is also right. As usual. Both WF as Patro opened many meaningful doors in my perception.Things I was refusing to accept and would eventually collapse upon me quite painfully.
I didn't really have to ask the Y to know it would take a miracle for me to join the Immortal ones, and now I am accepting it I can balance my efforts in a way that I can stay with the company while I'm useful there (I'm actually the warm welcome for the younger generation, cause perhaps you are not aware how cruel and competitive this universe can get) but I won't make any major sacrifices and I'm going to start investing on projects I can unfold through life, as WF pointed out.
It makes perfect sense... now...(not 2 days ago)

Just today (funny...) I got an email inviting me to show an old piece at a big european performance festival, a spoken piece, and I realized how this forum-thread already has consequences. Some days ago i would have immediately declined, because the dates coincide with important dance rehearsals. Now I'm gonna see if one of the young girls can cover for me a few days...

I'm going to look for a compromise between my interpretation (and Trojan's) and WF and Patro's, because in my way of reading the Y (and again, I know nothing, and I join this forum to learn) it sounded like 43.5 was telling me to walk the middle way, i.e, not do anything too definite, and 43.6 sounded like putting an end to my dance career right now would bring misfortune. "completing possesses pitfall" and "completing not permitted long-living indeed"...
It's gonna eventually die for itself, and it won't take long, why anticipate it?

Thanks all of you, this was a terribly delicate issue for me and you helped me come through and see it with more objectivity.
I reckon I'm even gonna dance better tonight!

Dear Patro, you are right in your suggestion to always update our own threads once we have follow up events. I hadn't done it yet because I am still hopeful about dance in my life, and at the moment it is really sad and not happening. 1 or 2 months after this thread here I left the company, my own suggestion, but with full support of everyone else. It was not humiliating at all (L3...?) and people were very warm, but I know their lifestyle, how hard it is, and even though we made promises to stay in touch, I haven't heard or seen anyone since...
That was all my social life, basically. Which makes it quite deserted at the moment. But building new links, and that feels good.

I am trying to stay connected to performance and dancing through a more choreographically aspect, but everything I initiated died some weeks after. At the moment, nothing's happening on that area for me...

That was what the Y meant with 37 - 23 then...
Interesting, always interesting to know...
:)

Yoana, thanks for updating. I hope that things will improve again when you find your "groove" back. A way of life which agrees with you.

Hopefully the 43 to 14 can come true now? Hex.14 has a lot to do with gifts from Heaven, like talents, generosity, health. Things which kind of fell in your lap but which will only work if you make them work, develop them or keep them strong. Hex.43 is speaking up, making yourself heard. Lines 5 and 6 are both strong lines. Line 5 is connected with hex.34, the top line with 1. Strength and creativity.

Go for it!

Yes Patro, I asked often about particular performances nights "give me please an image for me to be able to be at my best tonight?" or when something went wrong "what happened there?" or in a certain phase I asked "Why am I so tired all the time?" (turns out I was lacking iron...) but nothing ever about my overall career or path as a dancer. This was the first Big One.

Thanks, Lise. Very supportive of you.

I feel threads like this really help me to learn about how the Y communicates...
awesome...

Yes! I was referring to the question about: becoming a better dancer?
this kind of question have more to do with your life path.... cosmic order, etc..
I refer to this point of view.
...) but nothing ever about my overall career or path as a dancer. This was the first Big One.
:)
I will see in to it again... and will let you know any news about!

I call this kind of question/answer "master". because I personally noticed that the IC have the strange behavior to answer about the matter in a full way... the answer contain more info.. than you asked! it's like you are asking about minute 35' of a movie... and the Ic answer you with the full abstract of the movie! the answer contain the begin... and the final evolution of the situation... also your personal evolution!

;)
