Hello again,

I do a part-time work I don't like, for people whose motives I don't entirely trust, but it manages to pay the bills and so I stay.

Yesterday I was told that the Trustees were looking for to make the charity I work for more "volunteer-based" in the future, which in no uncertain terms means my job coming under a big question mark. So I asked Yi, 'Looking for new job?' and got 37 People in the Home 4. - 13 People in Harmony.

I do write, am good at it and would love to be able to earn a nice living by writing, but despite some interesting projects I have created for myself and a few other writers, I guess I have never tried hard enough in order to succeed... Meanwhile, I'd be happy in a well paid creative job in which I have a lot of personal freedom, and am able to work with like-minded people. Sounds good, anyone?..

A possible twist to interpreting the answer is that currently I run this charity from a "virtual office" at my home - another thing I'm not thrilled with, as prefer to carefully select what I drag over my threshold.

I'm too close to this whole situation right now to read the answer properly, and would so appreciate a more objective views - thank you.

Do not forget that you are an integral and important part of the organization that you work for - and your role in this "family" is that of the woman (wife) who quietly supports the group from a backstage position. As you say in your post, "I run this charity". So, I kind of doubt that you will be asked to leave. In fact you might be asked to take on more responsibility such as managing the "volunteers".
You also let it be known in your post that you are not really happy working for this group/family, and you question their motives. As a devoted, and capable woman you cannot see abandoning your job, but perhaps you would like to.

This line indicates that you are valued for your work in this job. Instead of thinking that you will be fired, think about asking for a raise! Do not underestimate the value of your work/skills to the group. Even though you might be happier in a different job (something more creative) you still perform very well and are a great support to the group.

You are a good "team player" and understand that everyone has a role to play. You have a sense of what you have to offer in terms of skills and talents. If the job you have now does not continue then you should be able to find another job where the people will appreciate you and have a fitting place for you in their larger scheme.

I've experienced 37.4 regarding a question about whether or not I would get a specific job for which I interviewed. I interpreted the answer as yes. The day after the interview, I went to the dentist. As he and I were chatting about a nonprofit he ran, he mentioned his need for a fundraising assistant. I left his office with a job. A couple days later, I found out I didn't get the job for which I formally interviewed.

In your situation 37.4 appears to be an auspicious answer. Hard to say whether the Yi is referring to success in finding a new job or expansion of your charity, but either way you've got a lot to offer. Whatever new job or role waits for you, you will be valued.
