An acquaintance/friend and I both want a month off of no commitments to gain a little perspective about our separate individual lives and both keen on a road trip. He'd be on his motorcycle and me in my car as he's thinking he may not return. I'm happy with that as we don't know each other that well, like my own space and being with someone 24/7 isn't really what I want but having a male on the road trip makes me feel secure that if something happens I'm not on my own.

What is the potential we'll take a road trip together in the near future

Line 3 - I wonder if the carriage riding is his motorcycle and the burden is his depression he's been suffering for sometime. Could that possibly rob him/me of a positive experience which would be a true shame if he allows it to be constantly with him instead of releasing it.
Releasing the stalemate.

Line 4 - releasing and partners come. I'm thinking maybe by taking the road trip we 'release' what ever is bothering us and our own personal truth comes to meet us. Also by us being together on the road trip we can talk to each other about our personal separate 'stuff'. Always helps to talk to a person who is emotionally uninvolved in the outcome. Releasing our disciplined thoughts and allowing us to learn to be who we want to be.

Line 5 - inspiring confidence in each other - good fortune for us both. Releasing the confines we've built up in our lives mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Line 6 - Our target is reached - what we set out to do on this road trip inevitably happens although it's just the beginning of our own separate transitions.

Hex 57 Subtly penetrating - dispersing the storm in our minds through the wind (driving) and/or the wind that he feels as he rides his motorcycle. It's the only time I see him motivated - when he talks about or is going for a ride.

Thanks Ashteroid - aw man did I interpret it wrong....ah well.

Also at present looking for work that will initially take me on a road trip to get there so that will suit me and get rid of those benefits.

57. Gentle Penetration is symbolized by Wind over Wind and seems like a good visual of a trip that hasn't a tight schedule and is all about just going where the wind blows.

Your question was "What is the potential we'll take the trip?" so I think getting these hexagrams which seem to so clearly depict a relaxing road trip is a positive omen for being able to actually make it happen. However, I can also see where these hexes could also indicate that your plans might be so adaptable, so vague that you never get it together to do it!

Thanks rosada - my whole life's been so bloomin' vague for so long I've had to learn to adapt daily.....not fun cause nothing seems to come to fruition no matter how many plans (or not) I make.
