So today I asked the I- ching a question regarding a friend of mine who I sometimes work on projects with.

Is "x" a positive element in my life regarding career?

I got 44.3 > 6.

I take this as some kind of warning - am I right?

Actually I looked back, and when I received this line, it was also about work. Only, I am not sure if it would help with your own reading. I was extremely anxious and worried about getting in trouble at work. I hadn't exactly done anything wrong, but I could have done a little better. And I was basically being evaluated over the situation in question by more than one supervisor. It turned out fine. Nothing became of it. I was overly anxious for nothing. Although, maybe it was good for me to be on my toes situations similar in the past have not always turned out for the best. And I guess for me the important part was "no mistake", "no error"
was found in my work or my effort. I guess simply you
could say, there was 6, conflict between the ones in
power 44, and they would be coming to meet each other, as well as myself. And the funny thing is gender can not always be a factor with these readings, cause the ones in power in this case are all males. I am the female...

The only other thing I can see how 44 related is in the situation itself. The situation that started with conflict actually motivated everyone into working more efficiently. It was like all this excitement, everyone, "oh crap", and then "OK what ideas do we have to make this work better, so this doesn't happen again". And in that everyone pretty much put forth quite a bit of effort. And not long after everything was pretty much back to the norm as if it never happened in the first place. Which was great. So the cause and effects really only lasted for a day.

And initially... Before it all played out I thought "noooo" lol. I had received other 44 readings surrounding work, but this was years ago. When I had started, I was a bit intimidated by my boss, male, with tons of life experience. And I often felt he didn't value me as an employee or see me for my true potential. Well to be quite honest I seen him as a bit sexist pig. Now... We seem to have built a much better work-ship, if you will. I needed to relax a little and learn to understand things
his way. He is actually one of the greatest bosses one could possibly have and an all around pretty good guy. People general learn a lot from him. But he can be extremely powerful and intimidating when he feels the need. And his need may not always be apparent. These days I pretty much trust there's some good intention or reason behind his madness. Lol. But when I started this job there was lots and lots of 44. Best job I've had yet and I give thanks for it everyday. I'm no longer afraid of 44 and what it may bring.

I hope that at least helps give you a better idea. The thing is though, its all individual and personal. So it could turn out completely different for you.

Best wishes

Thanks Blue Angel - your input gives an interesting spin on the reading. Your experiences with 44 are very useful to know :)

My question was regarding whether I should trust this person - and to be honest, the fact that I'm asking this question at all - I realise is a red flag!!

Yea you don't need the Iching, I guess you need to go with your gut. I'm surprised you didn't get 61. But then I suppose this is a case where the actual question asked just might matter.

Most of the time when I get a 44 answer, I assume the answer says "don't take this attitude." And a lot of times when I get something like line 3, I'm causing peril where there is none. And the only reason I add that, is cause personally I come from a long line of 44 women, if you will. And one of their favorite motto's is "trust no man Sam". And so the way I look at it is you have to learn trust your gut. Cause I personally don't want to go through life not learning to trust anyone ever. Causes quite a lonely, bitter life.

Although I do appreciate how they all managed to cope and come up with this motto. They aren't very happy alone in their safe houses. So trust your gut is all I can say or learn to. Then again, I guess you'll learn what you must.

Best wishes on your journey

Yeah - you're totally right Blue Angel. You nailed it.

What makes the I-ching interesting is that you can only learn the deeper meanings of some readings through actual experience. For example 19 - is one that on the whole, turned out to be different to what I expected.

Take care! :)
