Hi friends,
Please could I request your guidance at this time.
Long story short, there's a company I met with last year at their office. If I could help them raise investment they would offer me a % of that investment.
I came to learn yesterday that the % is not high enough for me, I had thought mistakingly that the sum would be much higher.

I asked one of the partners if they could give me a higher %, they said no but also that they would think about it.

I know very well I can get them the investment they need, and I also know that the people they had tried to get to help them that accepted those % terms offered to me were not successful. I feel strongly they never will be successful.
The business which is a startup just lacks the useful connections they need.

I consulted the Yi just before to enquire "how should i approach the negotiation?"
I am convinced I can get them the result they're after, I just want a percentage increase of at least 2 points.
3 would be perfect. So essentially my underlying question is, can I get more 'money' from them?

The Yi answer is 45.5.6 to 35

My thoughts:
The primary hex of gathering nicely portrarys our initial meeting, gathering around a table with enthusiasm etc.

Line 5 suggests to me how I had to earn their encouragement to trust me with this task. I think though, the trust may not be that high or it dimished a bit. I think because so much time has passed and that I am currently overseas, they have forgotten a little about my credentials.

Line 6 however paints a negative picture of sadness. Perhaps I should drop the idea of trying to get a % increase?

The secondary hex - 35, suggests success though.

How should you approach the negotiation
45: Bring all parties together and then present your carefully prepared case. Listen to what they say too.
5- Things are not yet in your favour. Explore all aspects assertively and keep communication open
6- You may see things as going against you, this is part of the process. At these times speak from the heart and show your passion.
35: Overall,use what is new in the situation to add power to your case . Be flexible, exchange ideas, go slowly and be clear in all you say and do.

And try to leverage this in my favour. Sounds like a good plan
