Sorry if this has appeared already but I certainly don't see it. I have an appointment tomorrow with the dentist for root canal which I have been trying to avoid for over a month after the pain began. I have been oil pulling which cured the infection years ago and the pain is off and on. Have just begun homeopathy and asked the Yi whether this would cure it. No pain at the moment. The doctor told me to go to the dentist if the pain does not subside.

Thanks!

You have a root canal treatment when the tooth is dead, when the nerve is no longer there. When the tooth is dead it will get infection in the space where the nerve was. You can fight the infection, repeatedly and it can work but long term this is like a time bomb in your mouth, it can get infected easily and if you leave it it can lead to bone infection which is serious.

So to me this is not a matter of what Yi says but of biology. Homeopathy cannot help other than to perhaps increase resistance to infection but that does not cure the root cause (no pun intended). Indeed IMO any homeopath who would claim to cure a dead tooth is not really being very truthful. So no homeopathy cannot be enough here. That's what looks like common sense to me. I'm not a dentist so stand to be corrected on detail but fundamentally I don't think it is feasible to use homeopathy long term for this problem, it won't cure the cause of infection only ease symptoms.

But what of the reading ? Are you sure the dentist will say a root canal is needed ? Line 3 makes me say this. Also do you trust your dentist ? If you do then I urge you to go the dentist and no homeopathy cannot cure it...and if the pain keeps coming and going then it is better to take action now rather than wait for it to return. If you don't trust your current dentist go to one you do trust.

Can't say much about the reading because over the years I have seen people I know trying to put off necessary dental work, asking Yi ...still putting it off, and then in the end after x amount of bouts of pain getting the necessary treatment. So my advice is go to the dentist knowing there is absolutely no way homeopathy can 'cure' a dead tooth..it cannot bring it back to life only ease the symptoms of infection so it isn't dealing with the root cause, the 'source' of the problem and perhaps 48 here refers to getting to the source of the problem.

I agree with Trojina. I Ching apart, a dead tooth root cannot be 'cured' with anything, and if left where it is there is danger the jaw-bone will also be infected at some point.

The king who is not clear-minded is probably whoever gave you this remedy and told you it can cure a dead root. The whole thing is built up (48.4, the cavity already has a filling), so whatever happens above that (clear water, open top, whatever that means) cannot get across (64) and reach the root.

Thank you Trojina and diamanda

But I had cured the infection which needed root canal years ago with the oil pulling. And Diamanda, there is no cavity in these two teeth. No caps there. So I suppose I will wait for the pain to return and if it does, I will get back to the dentist as the homeopath suggests. She did not promise a cure.
