I haven't been regularly employed for sometime, and have been relying on odd jobs and manual labor to keep afloat. For a while, I was even considering trying to make a sort of business out of lawn work and other general manual work, but I've felt that it would be better to get a steady job right now and put my degree to use (Bachelors in History).

The job I'm looking at looks like it may be relevant to my degree, but I'm kind of wondering about having the right credentials for it, esp. after not having had a "real job" for a while.

Anyway, I asked the Yi "What if I seek the job I'm looking at?" and it gave Hex. 50, lines 2, 3, and 6 changing to Hex. 16.

This seems like a fairly auspicious outcome, but perhaps indicates encountering doubts and troubles along the way. I really would like some further clarification from other people. Please let me know what you make of this divination.

Thank you,

So what you have have is:

The Cauldron > Decay > Enthusiasm

potential energy > wasted > but some brand new skill coming into play

there is burning wood, which finds itself at the base of an unwavering mountain. After all the wood is burnt, and the flame dies out, thunder (fresh energy) shoots out of the earth.

What I see in this is that it's gonna be less about your knowledge, and more about your personality, that determines whether you find success with seeking this job. Fire typically represents the intellect, while thunder means pure energy/resoluteness.

I feel like all this is sort of mirrored in line 3 of H50:

The handle of the ting is altered.
One is impeded in his way of life.
The fat of the pheasant is not eaten.
Once rain falls, remorse is spent.
Good fortune comes in the end.

Best of luck!
