I am scared like hell because of situation with my appartement (yes, 51 describes it very well!
).

Because there were some indications that a helper is needed in my situation, I asked Yi Jing if that means that I should find some contact, someone with some connections in the ministere and try to resolve the situation.
I asked: Should I find someone to intervene? is that the path to the resolution of this situation? (it is about keeping or loosing the appartement I live in)

I got: 51 with all lines changing except the third! It changes into 59.

I don't understand all these changing lines...what do they mean? That I will go through different phases? The first is about the shock is not as disturbing as I think (I got a letter from the ministere telling me to move out!). But then the second line is saying that I will loose a material posession! But it says that I will regain it. What does it mean? How do you see this line? That at first I will loose but then I will gain? Please, help with your interpretation.
And it says that I should not chase my possession, ti will come back on its own. How do you see this? That I should just wait - that I shouldn't seek help, someone to intervene?

The fourth line is about being stuck as I see and the fifth about being shocked and shocked again and again - I guess I will not find peace so easily. The sixth is most difficult to understand - maybe that others will be telling me how terrible the situation is, but I should remain calm?

And what has this hexagram to do abourt me asking anybody for help? Should I or shouldn't I? The only clue I get is from line to: don't run after your possession.
Or maybe it came to tell me about the situation in general, maybe I needed to hear it.

I need to ask you also this: do lines follow themselves in chronological order? I mean, the line 2 is about me loosing and then gaining. And then other lines that follow are about being disturbed again, or being stuck...so, they happen before this second line in which I can finally gain? I hope you understand what I mean
So, I go through being stuck and shocked and disturbed and everyone telling me how horrible it is and loosing at first but in the end I gain as the second line promises? Or maybe I am seeing this wrongly, because I want to see it this way

But please, help me here, I am so scared I am loosing my sleep over it. I shouldn't right? That is also what all these lines are telling me: stay calm and centered, withdrawn.

But I admit it is difficult. It is about my security and survival...please, do help me here.

Thank you!

hi moonrise,
i have followed this thread since it began back in september, the first thing i want to say to you is stop worrying, this is going to work out fine, 42.2.4 is a positive reading, hex 10, the resulting hexagram is saying to you, be careful in everything you do and take it one step at a time, i realise it is difficult to be calm when you have received an eviction notice, but your lawyer has a very good understanding of the situation and he/she has told you not to worry about it so please don't worry about it, there is a process involved here and you must go through the process, one step at a time,
there is something i want to say to you, it's something i felt back in september and it's something that came through again in relation to 42.4 and 59, there is some family connevtion involved in all this is'nt there, hex 37 came up and i very much felt that was of substantial relevance then later you wrote of it being an "inherited problem", i very much feel that you have to position yourself differently in relation to this situation, you have to position yourself in relation to the family connection more somehow, i feel 42.4 is positing you as the intermediary between the government and the family connection, i apologise if this is all completely wrong but i feel i should be saying it to you but all along i have felt that your family connection to this apartment is the key to your success, maybe it is something you should explore or maybe as i said i've got it completely wrong,
as regards 51, i feel there is a time line involved here, a process that you have to pass through, or not, i say or not because if you remain calm the shocks will pass you by and you will be left undisturbed, you already recognise that a lot of your anxieties are of your own creation,
59 i often relate to on a very spiritual level, it's very often about respecting the spiritual forces, a prayer might not go astray, it's also about dissolving barriers between people, again i feel this is relative to family somehow,
i'm sorry i realise i may not have been much help,
but what is the family connection here, is it worth exploring,

all the best to you,
paul

Just in case the commentary could be useful:

Hi Moonrise
51: Conmotion teach us something we are misunderstanding: first the thunder scare us; but when we learn its teaching, we fell joy and happiness.

If you stay calm during conmotion, you'll success. On the other hand: loosing inner calm beacuse external conmotion is like thunder hitting your body.

Even more: Trying to find some "influences" is like "running after a lost horse". Don`t do that: the horse will return to you in propper time.

Hi Paul
"as regards 51, i feel there is a time line involved here, a process that you have to pass through"

That is right: when hexagram is double-trigram, is a process to be fulfilled. The six lines are the six dragons to be ride in its propper time. (In other method, means "Total Conflict")

Best wishes

Hi,
thank you so much for your replies, I felt much better when I read them.

I know I shouldn't worry so much but I just cannot get the picture out of my mind when police comes and bangs on my door and throws me out! And I have roomates, what will happen to them??!

I am leaving the country for three months and I worry that something might happen when I am gone, but my lawyer says it is fine, that these things take time.

Yes, this problem is inherited - my mum had the unique right to buy this appartement, but she didn't pay the prepayment, of how it is called. A certain amount of money, 10% of the whole price, to assure that the appartement is hers. She didn't pay that and now she died, I inherited the right to buy this appartement but they won't sell it because that prepayment was not payed. The thing is that technically they are right, that's why I am so scared.

That line 2 of hexagram 51 really scared me...because it says that I will loose my posession but then regain it. What does it mean, can you comment, please? Because I still have this dreadful picture of police banging on my door in my mind...I hope it doesn't come to that!
What is that loss all about? That I will loose first in court or something or that things will look bad but then I will win??
Jesed, is that what you were saying when you talked about that lost horse?
And I shouldn't be trying to find some connection, if I understood correctly?

I am sorry because I go on and on about this, but please do comment, this is a nightmare. I am a child, I admit, I wish my mum were here and would talk this over with her (she was a lawyer, too) and I would feel much better...but she is gone and I am alone, stuck in this and worries just consume me sometimes.

But you helped me a lot, I feel more calm now and more confident that things will be settled. Thank you very much, it feels better just to talk about it and you reassured me because these hexagrams do look promising, right?

Waveringdragon, thank you really for your reassuring words...I read them many times
I think that you might be right about me being intermediary between the unfinished business my mum left behind and the governement.

Hi Moonrise

The way I see your answer: is not about the general evolution of your situation, but only about the actual fear that makes you consider wrong solutions.

So the answer is (in my opinion): don't do something wrong because of panic, recover your inner straight and you'll find the right solution.

I understand your feelings; but (if could be useful to you) in the daoist understanding of 51, conmotion came into our lifes to give us some teachings, to help us grown-up (some times in a hard way, but always in a needed-way). The sooner you accept your fears, and learn the self-development lesson, the sooner you can leve the conmotion behind.

Thank you for your answer,

you are right, I should learn to stay calm. But getting this appartement or not - all my future life depends on it.
I guess I should just wait and let my lawyer handle it.

But please comment the second line, could you? About loosing the material possession and then regaining it? I really struck me, this line, it was so explicite.

Thank you, discussing this with you helps me.

Hi Moonrise

Just in case the commentarie cpuld be useful

You can understand the text literally; and you can understandig it "symbolicly" (sorry if this is a wrong word).

Generally, in the tradition I'd learn, the horse is not only our material possesions, but our goals, our intentions. Some times, we need to "cross the great river" after them; but sometimes, we need to stop our intentios to get them (beacuse that intentions get our calm go away; and we need the calm to have a clear vision to achieve them)

So, many cases the answer is something like: "If you desire it too much, you can lose your judgment; if you stop and wait in calm, is more possible to get what you alredy own"

Of course, in some cases, it is literally a temporal lose of material things. But even in this case, is only temporal.

Thank you, Jesed!

I was just surprised, because the text was so explicite - about material possession.
