Hi all, I was wondering if 54 to 54 is a good sign for an eventual union? Thank you!

No such thing as 54 to 54. 54 with no changing lines is 54 unchanging, there is no relating hexagram.

You can read all about hexagram 54 if you look in the hexagram index and here is a thread on people's experiences with it https://www.onlineclarity.co.uk/fri...eriences-with-Unchanging-Castings-Hexagram-54

However it would be better if you would simply read what hexagram 54 says in whichever copy of the I Ching you have.

In 54 you are in no position to have things on your terms given your position is like that of a second wife. In relationships it often signifies being of secondary importance in a person's plans.

This doesn't say if you will re-unite or not it just seems to show your position is secondary in the matter. It may not be up to you.

Hi Jellyhearts,

as a matter of fact I think that 54 Unchanging is one of the least promising Hexes for a relationship - as Trojina pointed out, it places you in a secondary position. Moreover, it says that right now you should not attempt any changes, as actions in this matter would not lead anywhere...
It is good to keep in mind, that the title of the Hex does not refer to modern, romantic images of a marriage, but rather to a situatin as described in the text - powerless position, no influence.

So I would conclude that right now, the signs doe not point to a reconciliatin, but it, then it will be a very uncomfortable place for you. So I'd rather stay clear of the idea, based on the reading

Well it's okay if you are happy to accept not being top of someone's agenda, and there are times in all relationships where that is the case.

I don't think 54 means 'very bad for relationships', that's too general. The maiden goes to her husband's house and family, she is a little fish in a big pond and she has to fit in with them not they with her and she's the second wife.

But there can be times one is willing, for the sake of something greater, just to go along with being in this position. One can be in a 54 position to someone else's work for example.
