55.5 - 49 How can I know when I am ready to talk to him?

Hi,
I am asking about a long-distance relationship that had become very enmeshed. We were both aware we needed to step back without actually wanting it to end. I find myself gaining confidence while we don't talk, then I have something to share and I share it, and it's lovely, and then I tip into overexcitement and sort of go too far and end up feeling lost. I asked how can I know when I am ready to talk to him and got 55.5.
I feel positive, but I dunno if it's saying "you already have this", "it will fall into your lap" or "you need to make changes". The thing I'm thinking it might mean is that once I'm actually there with him it will happen. But maybe it's being more immediate. It will be at least a few more months til I can actually join him, given the whole virus thingy.

Heh, I had a similar situation a few months ago. I guess this virus thing is not very good for relationships. We argued for the last time and broke up in anger. It may be contrary to common sense, but I'm glad it happened this way instead of some sappy sad discussion.

Maybe Legge commentary to this line will be useful to you:
