Today I asked what are the chances I will be hired by company x (public company) for the position y?
And the answer was 6.3.44

I used to work there 8 years ago - but as an apprentice.
I was happy when my apprenticeship ended, but now around 8 years later they advertised a job I am interested in and have qualifications for.

It is the same position like the one I held before for 3 months in a different company but had to quit due to incredible workload and very bad interpersonal relations -I liked the job, but the place was horrid - so I opted to preserve my sanity. I never doubted that I was a good match for the job duties, but the company and people I worked for were horrible. I was told that I did very well and that they were sad I was leaving.

Now back to the company x - it is hard to get in because getting a job there is only due to connections (you don't have to be the best - you just have to be good enough and know someone influential that can help your case) - unfortunately I don't have someone who could help me this time.

I Ching's answer caught me by surprise, not because I expect to he hired - I expected not to get hired due to corruption or someone being better, but I have a feeling I Ching is telling me this is a bad place to work at and that I won't get along with a female person there.

6.3 > 44

I have good feelings about this job opportunity and think you should apply for it. What do you have to lose? I see the powerful woman as yourself rather than a supervisor with whom you might conflict, and I associate 44 with paperwork, record keeping, and correspondence, that I suppose you will be doing. Apparently you now have eight years of work experience to recommend you, so you do not need the favor of an insider. I take line 3 as applying to your current situation and not to your future.

I did apply and I was invited for testing (which I already started preparing for) on December the 4th, and if I'm successful the interview will follow. I am not especially hopeful, but, of course, I will try to get that job.

Wilhelm, Line 3:
To nourish oneself on ancient virtue induces perseverance. Danger. In the end, good fortune comes.
If by chance you are in the service of a king, seek not works.

Only that which has been honestly acquired through merit remains a permanent possession. It can happen that such a possession may be contested, but since it is really one's own, one cannot be robbed of it. Whatever a man possesses through the strength of his own nature cannot be lost.

If one enters the service of a superior, one can avoid conflict only by not seeking works for the
sake of prestige
. It is enough if the work is done: let the honor go to the other.
--------------

I think it says your skills will be tested, but you have earned them through your experience so you will pass the test. The working situation will be ok if you will be there just to work and not to acquire prestige/money.

How did your test, on 4th of December, go?
I'm particularly interested in Hex 44, it came up a number of times as a resulting hexagram for me concerning job questions.
