I got a reading where 64.3 is changing to 50 - my question was will my spouse realize his mistake and come back to me wholeheartedly - please let me know how to interpret the results of my reading

Dear kapoork,

I would think that the answer is yes, it is possible, but not immediately. There are things to be done first. Either he needs to sort his mind out, or he needs to get some advice/help from others to feel confident that this is going to work, or some aspects of this marriage have to be changed for him to come back.

Hope that helps :bows:

Hi Kapoork,

I'm not sure what I Ching is saying, but here's my take:

64 is a transitional time. Things are up in the air. Uncertain. The human impulse is to seek security. But I think 64 is about handling suspense by allowing things to be ambiguous and not trying to reach a conclusion. It seems like line 3 is talking about this. "Attack brings misfortune." Don't hold on to conclusions like "he's wrong" "I'm justified" "this is tragic" "it's my fault" "it's not my fault" or anything like that. Nor try to chase after him. Let the uncertainty be.

The change to 50. The Cauldron is interesting. I take this to refer to a situation in which one is cooked alive in a pressure cooker. It might be wild and excruciating, and maybe all you want to do is get out of it (resolve the uncertainty) but if you can endure the heat, you'll come out renewed. I think of this as a sweat lodge ceremony. A time of intense concentration and focus during which things are transformed.

My guess is that this isn't about whether things will work out one way or the other, it's more about developing the inner strength and clarity it takes to be centered and work with emotional pressure.

This interpretation assumes that I Ching is advising about your situation and is not talking about your husband or about what will happen.

Good luck!

Hi,

First, you asked 2 questions "will my spouse realize his mistake?" And "will he come back to me whole hearted?" I feel its easier for myself at least to ask one question at a time so that I can have better clarity, understanding of the advice and situation. And... although I too want to ask, and continue to ask what the other person will do, feels, thinks, it seems it does indeed create confusion, and in the end the answers are pointing back to me and what actions I should take or how I am feeling. Maybe others have a different experience. Just sharing mine and hoping to help.

So in my interpretation of your reading...

To me 50- The cauldron, is about what we put ino the pot, what we cook, and how we cook it. I really like when I receive 50. I think there are great possibilities with 50, I feel the iching asks you what are you putting into this relationship? What do you want to cook up here? You have the ability to cook up something great, fulfilling, nourishing.

Getting 64- to me describes your situation, basically nothing is settled, and something is a little upset. But its not the end, so that I think should give you some reassurance that its not divorce time. There's things that can be worked out.

Line 3- I have a hard time reading or making complete sense out of. But what I think its saying is, although the time is not right or good to act because there is some conflict and peoples emotions are high, you, yourself must act just enough to create some common ground, some agreement, and then allow things to cool or let the air settle before trying to make further progress.

I looks like it but timing is everything and your attitude too. Don't be forceful, be gentle but show sincerity and all will be well. Control the quantity and quality of your expressions and reaction in order to make him fall in love again. God bless.

Old answer to new question

A brilliant answer to my 64.3 > 50 seven months after this thread was posted. No need for me to ask for further help:) My question: "Is it time to start a certain project?" I've been getting variations on 5, Waiting, during a seven-month time of "intense concentration and focus" on forgetting another project/person and beginning a new one on my own. It was sweat lodge-like in intensity and now I do feel ready, "transformed enough" to "work with inner strength and clarity."
