Q: what's causing me not to feel rested?
A: 8.1.5>24

Background: I've been feeling exhausted at work most of the day throughout this week, despite going to bed at a decent hour.

What gives?

Seeking Union Returning? Parts of me are coming together after going off the path? Or energy returns after dissipating? I did have beers on Sunday. Booze and I don't mix well. But it's Wednesday, and I eat well and tend to myself daily, including exercise. I've gotten this reading several times before, but not in connection to physically feeling tired.

Hey

I think the reading is simply saying you may run down it may be a literal interpretation of line one, but i believe you may be being advised to eat better or things that have nutrients like earthy green vegetables. In general a lack of vitamins, Interesting line one says TRUTH LIKE A FULL EARTHEN BOWL, THUS IN THE END GOOD FORTUNE COMES FROM WITHOUT
i think line five is simply a small warning to avoid things like drinking that can put you in harms way. ( I have had this line a heap of times) Generally its dont put yourself in a position that can do you harm for me anyway. 24 is just get back to basics and try and relax like maybe do things that may bring you into a comfortable state of mind.
I just say that because of the other lines.

I am the same when I drink these days , it takes me days to recover the older you get the harder is just to bounce back, I realised later in life that if you are drinking then multi-vitamins is something you should maybe look at taking. Alcohol not only dehydrates you but pretty much strips you of vitamin B and other vitamins as well. I will be honest I feel exactly the same I had some drinks Saturday and Sunday and have felt flat all week, In my younger days I would feel better then do it all again on the weekend. Not this weekend haha.

Thats what I think from what you have said and the reading, if you still feel flat in another week then i might be wrong but I think i know how you feel.

Hey Steve,

It probably is the drinking. I take multivitamins, active b12 every night, and a few other things. In fact, I've been detoxing and haven't been drinking much in the past month. I think maybe two times. It's age and probably just an overall refusal of the poison. I love your interpretation of the lines. Makes total sense. I wasn't able to see it probably because of previous connections to the lines and hexagrams.

Thank you!

Hi
Q: what's causing me not to feel rested?
A: 8.1.5>24

From a text-based approach, this is what Liu Ming says about 8 and 24 when it comes to disharmonies:
8 Indigestion, spleen deficiency, kidney deficiency
24 Nervous disorders, injuries, herpes, vomiting and intestinal spasm

From Wen Wang Gua approach
In 8zhi24 The line representing you in the original hexagram is line 3, it is Mao with Official (illness) relative attached. After change, it becomes Chen with sibbling relative attached.
Line 3 is the top line of lower trigram earth, the middle line of lower inner trigram earth and the top line of higher inner trigram moutain. Both Earth and Moutain point to stomac, liver, gallbladder and spleen. Mao is linked to liver and gallblader while Chen is linked to stomac, spleen, and intestine.

All in all together, seems like a digestive issue. Most probably about the spleen.

Accodring with WWG, it should be solved easily and soon.

Thats pretty cool I think maybe the liver may take slightly more time to recover, Its not unsual to feel like you do, I dont think, especially when you hear people who dont drink say when they have a hangover, how do you it? i cant stand feeling like this. Today I feel back normal and thats been 4 days,

Hey six,

That's fascinating. Never heard of that approach. Really cool. It's definitely not herpes. Hrmm. Or nervous disorder. Alcohol most noticeably affects the spleen, pancreas, and liver. Digestion issues makes sense. I work with a guy who had to get his pancreas out (If I remember correctly) and cannot drink alcohol at all. Another got pancreatitis and didn't lose it, but can never drink again or serious issues occur. I've had gallbladder issues in the past from emotional toxic overload. Those issues completely disappeared when I moved out of my ex's house and was on my own. I couldn't digest food when I ate with her family. Lots of negativity sent to me. Long story. I'm a sponge, and pretty energetically sensitive. Also a Pisces, so water as an element and dirty water like booze doesn't really mix with me.

I once dreamt of a poison I used to cut through metal and then drank it and felt fine. My dreaming emissary said, "don't drink the poison." Pretty serious dream. That was years ago.

The liver digests not only food for nutrients and toxins, but energies. I've read that the above organs process fear, anger, resentment, and grief. Supposing that's true, I bet we can overwork an organ. So continually processing food, vitamins, herbs, medicines, and toxins would have to take a toll.

The answer was in front of my face. Still a neat answer from Yi. I'd be best taking a hiatus to heal those organs or at least rest them.

Hey Steve,

I hear you on day 4. The older we grow, entropy settles in. We wear the car out from the bumpiness of the road. A long-term, live food or veggie-centered diet would help immensely I think. You know what's also interesting...after I moved out of my ex's, I ate tons on eggs and bacon. Lots of protein. I know meat is harder on your body, but my body wanted it. I've read a book by Barbara Brennan called Hands of Light. She says that eggs are actually very good for you, as they are still "living" food.

Maybe it's time for us to forgo the sauce and opt for water. Clean spring water. I wish I could time travel to before pollution and know what water tastes like then. Maybe it was sweet.

Yea where I am I have to drink bottled water no way would i drink from the tap, yes eggs are good fairly easy to digest as well, I eat allot of eggs, I have noticed that here where I am in the Philippines the beef is not real good so my diet has changed here, eating allot more chicken and rice. Rice is good because it absorbs things like booze, When i lived in western australia some food is like texas they like the outdoor ovens, BBQ's and brisket etc and beef in general. They may have copied to an extent. So i ate more beef there as when in Rome do as the Romans do, Australian beef is world class also so hard to resist, but the asian diet is less red meat more fish and chicken less bread and more rice. I think its easier to digest as I have lost weight without trying to hard.

I also find if I have a beer after dinner then I may only have one or two but if I am with friends or drink before dinner or lunch I can drink allot. So if you do drink be very aware of the amount.I think the Yi answered you why your feeling flat so yes just be aware, the higher you fly the further it is down. In our minds we are still young and you see these kids drink a bottle of whiskey on Sunday then bounce out of bed bushy tailed Monday morning. Even some older people can but not me these days. If i drink allot of top shelf stuff like JD & Turkey I am really ill the next day. I know that flat feeling like lack of energy then as the week goes by you come good. So i have really cut back on the booze as well, I simply dont function like i want too. Lastly this forum is great when doing your own readings i am the same I look at some readings I do for myself and just go "what"

Update: Just got 8.1.5>24, after I asked, “why do I feel such [as in certain kind] tiredness?”

Again! It’s probably good, digestive and liver/spleen related. I ate a fatty helping of a salmon patty with cheese in it. I had also had a cup of dandelion root tea before. I think I put my digestive center into overload. Funny thing is I had this feeling about eating oat bran instead. I got it out, but changed my mind. 24.

Seek Union with the right foods. Return to eating healthier...

Oats have to be a super food, i feed them to my son everyday and luckily he never gets sick of them. I eat them too as a late night snack. They are again a soaker of toxins so I have read

I like ice cold green tea with a little sugar. My grandfather was American and used to make ice tea as a ritual everyday. Mind you he did not smoke and didnt drink a whole lot but made it too 94. Maybe something in that who knows.

PS When he retired in Florida some kids once stole his Ice Tea from the porch, he was like can you believe it,? The story sticks in my mind, there is an American influence here in the Philippines so no shortage of fresh cold green ice tea. I like tea anyway hot or cold.

Good to hear your feeling better from the original post.
