Hi,

I am friends with a married couple and have known them for about 30 years. The husband and I once had a thing for each other but we went our seperate ways and life went on.

I hadn't seen them for a long time but we met again at a party a couple of weeks back - I like both of them very much but there seems to be that old attraction back between him and I. We spoke about it and both said it's a no go zone as the implications would be horrendous, however I am wondering why he has come back into my life...

Why is J part of my life

Hex 22.3>27

This looks nice but what does it mean?
Line 3 - it is positive and correctness will bring good fortune.

Beauty and Nourishment sound lovely together.

thks Liss:)

I see by noones response it is tricky to you guys too - there are not a lot of threads on Hexagram 22 - not to worry at least it doesn't sound negative - Liss

He's a distraction.

This line has various meanings connected with moistness, but the one I like is that you're trying to get someplace and rain keeps flying in your face. In order to get anywhere, you have to get through this irritating, persistent rainfall.

Hey Ginnie, thanks for replying - I wonder why you say he's a distraction rather than I'm a distraction for him (I assume that's what you meant).

To be honest I am happy with my life, I have joy and I have peace in my heart. I love where I am headed although to be sharing a relationship with someone would be great too and an ongoing cash flow.
But I am working on/towards these things in the best way I know how.....

For him his life, his wife have all become mundane for him - he has security in assests, cash, a job and a relationship all the things I would love to have but what he hasn't got is joy and peace in his heart.
So I am thinking I am a distraction for him so he doesn't feel that rain flying in his face.

Just askin' really if that's what you mean or am I missing your point?

have fun - Liss

22.3 is a moment of perfect grace and beauty. It is like a moment suspended in time, shimmering with all the beauty one would love to claim forever. But 22 is ephemeral, it speaks only of appearances not of actual substance.

I remember a woman I knew who met a married man and he left his boring wife for her, swept her off her feet, told her she would never have to worry about money again. It was like her fairytale, 22.3, point in time. Fast forward about 7 years........once again, this man was leaving his wife, only this time the boring mundane wife was the newer wife...;)

I think in this case 22.3 is a beautiful distraction for you, and perhaps him....he validates your attractiveness, increases your nitric oxide, gets your juices flowing...all great things to enhance your beauty and your journey on to finding your own man.

Thankyou bamboo - this is exactly how it feels. Thanks for putting into words for me. Under no circumstances would I wish him to leave his wife for me. I don't think she is boring and I don't think he thinks she's boring but I think that their relationship is fairly mundane after 35 years of being together, but in my mind it is up to him to want to put the oomph!! back into it somehow. - Liss

I don't know whether anyone would be interested but I am going to tell you the rest of the story because it was really why I asked the question in the first place - even though what been said seems plausible and maybe there isn't anything more to it but....

About 8 months ago J approached me on online date but unbeknownst to the both of us we actually knew each other.
Within minutes of our first interaction of chatting online he received a phone call.
He took the call then, when they finished talking, he resumed chatting to me and told me the phone call was from a friend of his who had just moved to the area a couple of months ago.
That friend turned out to be a gf of mine whom I had been best friends with but we had, had a falling out about 15 years previously but we were tentatively now trying to re-establish our friendship.
Further chatting reveals J was one of my brothers surfing mates many years ago, further conversation reveals I used to sometimes socialise with him and his wife(before they married) but didn't really know them.
Although I remember finding him attractive at the time but not really thinking too much about it - turns out he thought the same thing etc.

So anyway that's when this attraction actually starts to take shape even though we only spoke online - I said I wasn't interested in a married man no matter how I might (think I) feel. But anyway we would talk most days and I suggested maybe he should get some relationship counselling etc. and then after a month or so we lost contact mostly because I went travelling and probably mostly because I felt it wasn't right especially as I knew his wife and I like her.
Fast forward about 6 months from last contact - my gf and I have now re-established our friendship and are as close as we were once before. She has a party and J and his wife are there. This is the first time I have seen either J or his wife in 30 years. I spent a lot of time talking and partying with his wife and my gf, and J and I spoke very little as he was hanging out with his mates. But all this party did for J and I really was to excacerbate the attraction.
His wife, me and my best friend I are now hoping to socialise together a bit more and she even suggested I come and stay at their place as they have a spare room so I can have a drink and not worry about driving.
I live about an hour away. Not quite keen on that idea for obvious reasons.
This weekend also allowed the Universe to show me that it would benefit me to move to their area not just for friendships but a whole host of other things.

J and I spoke briefly yesterday and both have accepted that nothing can/will happen between us.
But I just find it extraordinary circumstances because of all the connections so I was just really wondering what it is all about.

PS I am going on a date tomorrow so I am not hankering after J.
Be good if we could see where a relationship would take us but that's not what the Universe is providing.

The story is highly compelling and I remember it from when you related it before, how you had been online with this man and it turned out you knew him in real life ...

There have been long threads on 22.3 and basically there is something moist and yummy in the picture but the interpretation depends on other circumstances. For example: If it's a party, it's okay to take a piece of chocolate layer cake. But, alternatively, if I'm in traffic and should be paying attention to the cars around me but I'm being distracted by visions of a sweet dessert -- well, that could lead to an accident.

You have an underlying rapport with this man, and that is a strong attractor.

So in this case the 22.3 shows up as it often does -- a source of discomfort and potential trouble, but not if you keep him in his place. He's the other woman's husband.
