Hi guys,
I have a complicated relationship with this man, my boss, who lives in NY while I live in Europe.
He is like fire and me, like water (actually, he is a fire horse, while i am a water dog in chinese astrology), we seem to be very different personality-wise and have severe difficulties working together. He is very adamant that he doesnt want me to leave the team, he says he does not work with me directly because he trusts me and my decisions implicitly, but this really sounds like an excuse to me only (he does not delegate tasks to me and does not really spend time answering my work-related questions). On the other hand, socially we get along well. Sometimes we chat for long hours - during work hours! - about movies, horoscopes, gadgets, wild ideas, etc.
Last year we had the chance to work in the same location for a shorter period of time (a week) twice, and both occasions we spent the last evening/night going out together after work (just the two of us, leaving the rest of the team behind) and talking until dawn, discussing deeper, really personal things.
I realized I was falling for him, so I abrubtly broke this close connection and tried to focus on work only, but its getting more and more difficult for me to handle this situation. I would like to meet him one more time personally before I decide about leaving the job, so I asked the Yi if it is going to happen this year?
