analysis and overview of what is going on in my situation

Hello to all,

Over several days, I have made different draws that seem to overlap on my general emotional situation, I would like to know if my interpretations are correct or at least go in the right direction of my readings. In my opinion, there is probably the same advice that the I Ching is giving me and that shows up in every reading.

First question: What is the best attitude to adopt so that the universe manifests a new romantic encounter in my life?

Hexagram 23UC

Second question: What is the potential for me to have a romantic encounter this year?

Hexagram 39.2.3.5>7

Third question:
Why am I advised to hide my light and do nothing to change my love situation?

Hexagram 63.3.4>17

In light of these answers, I feel like I am being told that I don't have to do anything (because I can't) and that I need to let go (Hex 23), an intense transformation is underway with 23Unchanging there are obstacles in my way that are not my fault (39. 2), there is no point in forcing the situation forward, you have to come back to yourself (39.3), by being yourself in your place, you will find friends who will rally to your cause (39.5). You are at the end of a cycle and a new one has already started (63, announcement of the end of my celibacy and therefore a new chaos that is looming over the tranquility acquired?) Lines 3 and 4 give me a hard time interpreting the question, I recognize in line 3 that maybe I have already worked enough on myself and done / put in place what was needed. Line 4 seems to say that underneath this quiet appearance, a change is coming and that appearances are deceiving (because I have the impression that nothing is happening in my sentimental life, which could be wrong?) The hexagram comes in 17 "going with the flow" it seems that there is a nice evolution.

While doing these interpretations/readings, I thought that the lines that speak of decadence or disturbance seem to be more about my change of state (how can one be disturbed in one's life when you have the tranquility of your solitude for almost 4 years?) and so I interpreted positively the changes mentioned in the lines. How do you find these readings? Did I make a mistake or is the overall picture correct?

thank you for responding and giving your analysis. Indeed I would like this desire to be fulfilled now because I have been waiting for a very long time and I still can't find a person to "connect" with. it's hopeless and I feel helpless.

The first answer would therefore indicate that one should be like hexagram 2, not take initiatives and respond to influences in the end.

For the second question I have a little difficulty in understanding what you have written, from what I perceive with your answer, it seems to say that we must stop thinking about it and come back to ourselves. On the other hand, line 5 indicates the coming of friends to help, is this a suggestion to spend more time with my friends while things are happening naturally?

Well, I would say that doubt is natural and maybe even healthy, I don't have any problems in my life except for not being able to find someone to share it with. In this session, can we say that the answers invite us to stop thinking about it, to show faith and to stop doubting the result? Let others come to me? This is what I understand from your interpretation in a large part, if you could confirm or deny. I thank you again.

I see the movement into hexagram 7 as the leadership of your higher-self (a friend comes). Armed with the weapon of knowledge, this is the spiritually developed voice that always leads us back to center. With three changing lines we have our toes in both obstruction and army - and as time can only move forward the next destination is 7.1: Sending out a multitude, It should be kept under control. Otherwise, no good: Misfortune. One negative thought, becomes another. Before we know it, they have piled beyond management.

Receptivity to experience ䷁ And so it is that when the noble-minded set out in the lead toward a destination, they soon fall into confusion; but when they follow, they reach the bounty of that wondrous host. Finding friends on southwest plains, losing friends in northeast mountains—the noble-minded remain inexhaustible and serene, and so come to good fortune.

Consider that for the next three years you cast a divination with each and every step taken. Another and another. Statistically, how many times will the results indicate a potential opening for union? The Way is sometimes open, sometimes shut - but always only in the immediate moment.

Never consider yourself to be the cause of the results of your activities, nor be attached to inaction. Be steadfast in the performance of your duty, O Arjun, abandoning attachment to success and failure. Such equanimity is called Yog. Seek refuge in divine knowledge and insight, O Arjun, and discard reward-seeking actions that are certainly inferior to works performed with the intellect established in Divine knowledge. Miserly are those who seek to enjoy the fruits of their works. Bhagavad Gita.

Initiate action but remain independent of outcome. One step taken, oracle says opportunity, second step taken, oracle says all is going well, another step taken, oracle says all suddenly bad! Should this scenario occur you remain patient and unnerved - knowing with so many steps to go, happiness is inevitable.

I just read you and the feeling I have is deeply depressing, as if finally I could produce absolutely nothing in my life at this level, that the only solution is to be content with the present without any future and let my "higher self" bring me where I have to be and answer to the solicitations if there are any.

Sincerely I have done everything in my power to try to provoke events, to change things and I never get anywhere. Do you see how lost I feel? To do or not to do, to think or not to think. I would also add that it is mentally and physically exhausting to look for and try to make things right and nothing happens. Hence the idea of asking the oracle these questions to find out how I need to be in front of life and how I need to be inside for change to happen.

The image that comes to me is that of sitting on a chair, time is moving forward and nothing is happening. I have asked for at least one answer from the universe to guide me but it is total silence. I can't figure out where to go what to do what to think. It's deeply sad, sorry I'm going astray a bit but I don't see any way out or any optimism in the answers of the oracle. I just see the "live your life in the present with faith and trust and the rest will come" (ok but how much longer?)

What is the best attitude to adopt?
I have a girlfriend who has been single for many years and at one time I asked her if she thought she would ever remarry. Her response was that although she thought it might be nice to have a partner she felt that unless the match was just about perfect she really didn't want one. I think this is the attitude the I Ching is describing here for you. 23 says shed anything that is not you that your true inner self can shine through. Or in modern language, take the attitude that you value yourself above all. Play hard to get?

Thank you Rosada for your comment. it is indeed a different way of seeing the hexagram 23 unchanged. I was feeling abandoned by the universe when I asked this question. Reading you, it is still quite encouraging because finally it seems to say be yourself and get rid of what you don't like about yourself, which is not as difficult as I would have thought. Play hard to get? is really not my style at all because it's a bit manipulative, like sucking the desire of the other but not having expectations is doable and maybe healthier. I hope that the universe will send me one of its representatives to knock on my door, so to speak

Yeah, "playing hard to get" is not an honest strategy when you are dealing with actual people. I mean when you are seeing who shows up in your life don't let the Universe get away with sending you some misfit they don't know what else to do with and are thinking, "Well, what the heck, maybe she'll take him in." You have to tell the Universe "I'm perfectly capable of living on my own so don't be sending me any characters that need work! Soulmates only, please!"

The text for Hex. 23 says: 'not favorable when there is somewhere to go' (Richard Rutt, trans).

This suggests to me that maybe you do not need to look outside of yourself ('somewhere' else, e.g. the broader universe) to get what you want and need.

The lower trigram is Earth, and the upper is Mountain: to me, this is saying that the work you need to do - including having a compassionate attitude towards yourself - is within: i.e. Earth residing within Mountain. I believe it was Jesus who said "the Kingdom of Heaven" (and the Universe) is within. There is nowhere else need to be looking.

It makes sense, I moved less than a year ago to another part of the country for a new job, I left behind all my old life / habits even the people I knew. Finally it was one of the biggest transformation of my life (even the clothes haha). all this old skin, I can tell you that it is well gone with all these changes ! I think if you are open enough, chances are I will recognize the person the universe sent me, as you say Rosada, it's better to be authentic than "play hard to get"

thank you for your comment dfreed, in other words, take care of yourself, be tender with yourself and the universe will be tender with you? because if I have nothing on the outside to look at, then the outside will come from itself. I don't want to spend my life alone with myself ! lol

That might be entirely correct! And ... I think we should be tender with ourselves and with others regardless of what the universe does and doesn't do for us in return! I believe there's a book titled, "when bad things happen to good people" - as in: (and I'm sure others might disagree) that sometimes the 'universe' gives even the most innocent and kind people the worst things! E.g a five-year old who develops cancer.

But I like to think that being kind and compassionate increases our odds of good stuff coming into our lives. And it to kind and patient with oneself and others has its own rewards.

As a result of your answers, I have changed some behaviors and become aware of what I should throw away, keep and do. I feel more serene. There is a girl with whom I have been talking since December, in fact she is a girl I knew 8 years ago when I was in university and we lost touch, I didn't really have much contact with her nor any affinity at the time. Imagine that I lost my father in December 2020 and the day I came back to see my mother, the same evening this person contacted me again after all these years of silence (I didn't even know she had kept my phone number), she asked me how I was and I told her I wasn't doing well at all, then she told me "if you want I can pray for you, it's no coincidence that I'm contacting you now". It was just unbelievable, I didn't even tell her that my father had passed away and she just wanted to pray for me, what a wonderful sign of compassion that showed up 1 day after my father passed away.

After 6 months of talking to this girl (I just realized I'm making this post EXACTLY 6 months to the day after she made contact, weird haha) it turns out we have a lot of chemistry and I talk to her more long distance than I did in real life 8 years ago.

A beautiful friendship is developing between us now.
So I asked the Yi-jing what the potential is for a romantic relationship with this girl? and I got hexagram 34 with line 2 and 4 moving to 36.

Hexagram 34 seems to signal that there is power here, a big potential and that this force can be very well mastered with lines 2 and 4, signaling that there are no obstacles

34.2 Nine in the second place means:
Perseverance brings good fortune.

The premise here is that the gates to success are beginning to open. Resistance gives way and we forge ahead. This is the point at which, only too easily, we become the prey of exuberant self-confidence. This is why the oracle says that perseverance (i.e. perseverance in inner equilibrium, without excessive use of power) brings good fortune.

The hedge opens; there is no entanglement.

Hexagram 36 represents the fact that our light is hidden since we are both working on our own in our respective lives, we haven't seen each other yet and have only discussed by internet / sms despite our affinities, so maybe I don't see his light...
