Hi guys, I would really appreciate your quick imput in this. Exactly a month ago I had a reconstructive surgery to put my knee together, after I raptured two ligaments skiing. It's been a month of hell with pain but the knee has started to get better finally. I saw my surgeon on Monday and he was pleased with the progress so far but said that the crucial time is around 8 weeks when we know whether the hamstring implant has not been rejected, which got me a bit worried. Anyway, last night in bed I was trying to move to get more comfortable and suddenly I felt sharp pain at the back of the leg. I can no longer walk properly and it continue to hurt. I either pulled a muscle or I raptured it again. I'm absolutely panicking g that I will now need another surgery. I've asked the Yi: after what happened last night, will I need another surgery? The response 37.1.6 to 39 (how appropriate). What do you guys think?? I'm really panicking here!

This is a late response, and the outcome is probably already decided, but I could form no clear picture of this casting and without research did not understand the situation or even know where the hamstring was. The lines do not suggest surgery but the trigrams do.

Nine at the beginning means:
Firm seclusion within the family.
Remorse disappears.

Strict rest is enough for recovery.

Nine at the top means:
His work commands respect.
In the end good fortune comes.

The original surgery is good in spite of further injury.

But the trigrams:

☴ thigh/hamstring
☲ cut or break

☵ blood
☶ persistence

Further surgery.

The situation:

After surgery, the body attempts to develop a network of blood vessels in the new graft. This process, called revascularization, takes about 12 weeks. The graft is weakest during this time, which means it has a greater chance of stretching or rupturing. A stretched or torn graft can occur if you push yourself too hard during this period of recovery. When revascularization is complete, strength in the graft gradually builds. A second surgery may be needed to replace the graft if it is stretched or torn.

You were only part way through revascularization, so the graft was weak. In this situation I think further surgical repair is needed.

Turning in bed by pushing against the bed with a foot puts strain on the leg, and you should have been warned about this. Turn the upper body first, and let the legs follow. I am on a statin, and one of the side effects of statins is muscle cramps. Almost weekly I would get a severe cramp in the calf from turning in bed. I have found that jalapeño neutralizes this side effect. Please let us know what has happened.
