I applied for gran for one of my projects and i did not get it, this is strange for me because i know that my projects are better then others which get the money.

So I asked; why i did not get the grant; hexagram 60.5>19 i dont understand it at all, then I asked; was some of my birocratical problems or enemies guilty for my rejection; answer 16.4>2

please for some insight...

My sympathies on your bad luck with the grant. Your 60.5 answer puzzles me, too.

The text of the answer 16.4 says "why should it be harmful to befriend this official? Harbor no doubts." It seems to be saying you might try making friends with your bureaucratic enemies. I don't see this as a clear "yes" or "no" answer to the question you asked. As you know, the I Ching does not say yes or no.

no, those birocrats are not responsible for grants, what I want to know is did they spread any desinformation about my work and is that a reason for grant failure? According to 16.4>2 I dont think so, what do you think?

60.5 - 19 Were there indications given which you did not follow? Were you too creative? Did you wish to apply too many changes? This is the first thing that comes up in my mind. I come across this problem a lot as well when doing translations. Clients often just want the mediocre stuff and don't want you to change their texts for the better even if the original content is terribly written!

As for 16.4 I believe it's saying "no, this is not the reason your project got put down". Line 4 talks about not having doubts and that one is among friends.

I don't think so, either. If the bureaucrats had ruined your reputation, I think you would have gotten a different hexagram.

As to why you did not receive the grant, it says something about a term, perhaps a short period of time. My guess would be -- did you apply to close to a deadline?

As far as enemies -- no. I think It says you have a talent, and it is worth to pursue it, and you are among friends.

Hy Greenleaf...no deadline was fine, but I apply same projects as last year (they are my main projects), and last year I got the grant for that projects...

I m always very creative :) I follow indications, but I search for rest of the money which I need to finalize projects for which I got the grant on same place last year...
