I've been considering contacting someone about something very important. I don't know if it's the right thing to do or if it will hurt things more than help them. With the idea that I WAS going to do it I asked, "What is the best approach to take?" I received
9.6 to 5. This line speaks about how a woman's persistence brings her into danger (Wilhelm). It also speaks about how things have already reached a conclusion and how there really isn't any need to go further. At least that's how I understand the line. Given all this, I'm not sure how to proceed. Should I make the contact or not? When I asked how it would affect my relationship with this person I got 44.2.4 to 53 which seems negative.

My overall impression from the two readings is that I SHOULDN'T do it.

Well, this suggests that you have gone as far as you can go, now is the time to stay still and wait for further developments to happen. It is time to try and find the right approach, so when the time comes to advance you will know exactly what to do.

This says to contact them now would not be a good idea but do not give up on the situation, as you will have to contact them at a later date, then you can gradually get back into their life.

So, you should not contact them for the present and should wait until you find a better way to approach them in the future.

I think Willow just about got it. I'll echo what she said, and then you'll have *two* people who are telling you similar stuff, a rare occurrence on this board lol.

This is the more skillful of the two questions you asked. 9.6 means the situation's reached a kind of delicate equilibrium and won't sustain any action or movement, other than maintaining your values and virtues. 'Don't do nuthin; be as good a person as you know how' sort of thing.

This was the less skillful question of the two, I think, cuz you're asking about the future when all you really need to know (all that *any* of us really need to know) is how to handle the present. My take on what the Yi's saying is that it's reiterating the first message it gave you, with some more information: don't make contact now, but don't write the relationship off - there's more to come.

Many thanks for the input. I agree with you both and I'm not going to do anything. It seems as if the IC is saying that things are where they should be right now and that everything is OK. I don't need to do anything else at the moment.
