Best course of action?

What is the best course of action regarding this summer and my professional career?

Hexagram 18.1.3.6 into Hexagram 19

A little background, I have been interning with an iconic, great company for about a 1 year now since I graduated but they don't hire undergraduates - only MBAs and engineers. My manager extended my internship without me asking due to some help she will need through the summer months, and I thought I can do something additional to this extended internship like take finance classes or study for my CFA. Unfortunately, even though I went to a top school, I did not do as well as I wanted to and my GPA excludes me from applying to many jobs. So I am wondering what's the best thing I can do to further myself.


From this reading, I interpret hex 18 as "repairing the damage" or grades I got in undergrad by taking classes and getting alternative transcript for when I apply to b-school or something along those lines. 18 says repair is difficult, but doable but even so there may be some remorse. 19 indicates there's some progress, but then in the 8th month or in August something bad may potentially happen?

The eighth month to the Chinese was not the eighth month as it is to us. It stretches between September and October.

But what I see in your casting is a need for corrections of the past, plus attention to detail, if you wish to obtain success.

Even though the outside doesn't change, keep yourself working toward a productive and thoughtful path. It will eventually result in a Joyous way, regardless of what happens on the outside.

is it possible to retake the courses you didnt do too well in to adjust your gpa? thats what my ex did and he got a 4.0 whereas before his grades were pretty crappy.

19 does not necessarily mean something bad will happen in the eighth month. it just indicates that after a specific period or point something will happen that can either be a good thing or bad thing depending on how you go about with dealing and fixing (18) your difficulties.

Now that I read the lines it does seem to indicate a need to go back to adjust your grades my retaking the courses, i wish i could quote but im on my phone.

mryou1, I agree with your response and attention to detail. I've know my weaknesses/faults such as attention to detail, bad short-term working memory, and etc.

Meganj - I did not know you could change your GPA after you graduate by taking classes. I thought your GPA is solidified after you graduate. The first impression I got from the readings though is not to try and correct these mistakes immediately - maybe wait it out a little until I hear back from some company...

Well, im not sure about my supervisor pushing me out. In fact, she extended my internship and wanted me to stay until the end of september, but I said let's just try end of August. I already know that my corporate manager is helpless - that's not new. I have some objective to pursue my Masters in Financial Engineering but would need to take my GMAT for that...and thinking whether I should or not based on my prior academic success. In my perspective, the best action would be to get a job in some finance/analyst role and then study for my GMAT and apply to get a Master in Financial Engineering end of next year. I agree with you on having clear objectives - it has been a very difficult time for me though. Thank you for taking the time to analyze my hexagrams once again Long Yi.
