And here I am again with another broken body part. Not sure this one is going to bring me the money my last injury did (search neck injury 26.6>11) but I remain optimistic and am open to being proven wrong about that. 🙂

I was going down my basement stairs that desperately need to be ripped out and rebuilt because they are really steep and short, and I was in a hurry because I was going down to let in the handyman. I got tripped up about halfway down, somehow rolled my ankle and dislocated my whole foot. I was headed face first, but somehow had the cognizance to lean back and sit down.
It was a full on 51 unchanging situation as I stared at my ankle in shock not believing it was real.
I went to the ER in an ambulance and when I got there, they gave me a shitton of ketamine via IV, literally sent me into a k hole, and manually relocated my foot to my leg bone. While I was in a k hole. CRAZY.

Its been 5 days since it happened. I am, of course, wrapped up and stabilized and cannot move it or put any weight on it, and it has been interesting. Thankfully my mom and dad live close by. I’m a single mother; daughter 12 who has helped me sooo much and a son 3 who is neurodivergent and very happy and energetic.

I go to the doctor today who will give it another look, probably an x-ray and tell me what I may possibly need regarding surgery and whatnot. My question was, Give me a picture of how bad or good things are inside my ankle area, where they put it back together. I was wondering if the reduction (relocating of my foot) and subsequent stabilization had started things going back together or if my ankle was truly just toast, and I was going to have to have surgery.

With 24.1.5>8 I feel like it’s not too far off to getting back on track (line 1) and that most of my leg/foot parts returned to their original place pretty well (line 5) and that for the most part things are pretty well joined together (8). As I said earlier, I remain optimistic and hope that this is an indication that I may not need surgery, and that the Dr will wait and see how my leg heals. I will update this thread when I get back from the doc.

Ouch! So sorry!
24.1.5 - 8 does look positive for ankle alighnment returning and and everything joining up well. 8 particularly makes me think your doctor is a good partner here, so perhaps advice to do what ever he recommends. I don't see anything I would consider a reference to surgery in this reading so hopefully that means it isn't necessary, although you weren't specifically asking about surgery so maybe it's just saying do whatever the doc tells you. There are several references to giving things time and taking it slow. I had problems with a severely twisted ankle once and got a great deal of help from acupuncture.

So I definitely have to have surgery. He didn’t beat around the bush at all. Would have already done it if I wasn’t so swollen and his schedule wasn’t so full. The surgeon explained that while the reduction was a success, a lot of small bones that connect my foot to my leg bone have broken off. He wanted to do it very soon, next Tuesday, so I think that’s line 1 (not far away) and line 5, the surgery will be a success. Everything will be joined back together (8).
I do agree with you, Rosada, that I will have to give things time and definitely take things slow. I feel confident in the surgeon as well.
I was hoping the reading indicated no surgery, as I did have it in mind. But no bother, the dr will fix me up and I’ll have a bionic ankle 🙂
