Since Yi is so cool, I asked:

What is going to happen if I pray two hours a day? (as I had decided to do but almost never made it)

I have thought about this "Man of Bronze" could mean also an armed man - a soldier. I guess it's Legge who got this 'bronze-picture'....

Well they do look like soldiers sometimes
I think in this case the gold stands for the outside as in "you're missing the point".
Yet I had the same doubts years ago and the cast had been wonderful at the time (but I had stopped praying, despite the beautiful cast)
The changing of Yi on such things still puzzles me..

Yes, I can see how that would be puzzling . . .

Well, something has changed, and the I Ching is the Book of Changes after all. Since it has been years since you cast on this question, I would regard the current reading as the valid one.

Oh I see you've came up with this idea on your own.

4.3 → 18 (Managing Decay), Daniels: Greed can lead to ruin.
Start small, 10 minutes a day is enough.
Keep the journal, decide on a particular time of day and each day mark how many minutes you did devote to God.
If you skip - put in 0.

The more zeros you'll see, the more will you want to do better.

My book is full of "zeros" yet I don't want to do any better. I find praying very boring and it's something I wouldn't want to do. I have decided to impose it on myself but I admire free spirits, people who don't belong to anything and don't have to follow any rules in their life.
I sometimes wish nobody had talked to me about it so I would be free now.
ah - heavy thoughts!
