Can anyone help me with these readings?

I am a total novice at i Ching:My first question was "should I take the new job if it is offered to me?" and Yi's answer was, 34.1.2 to 62Then I asked without typing it in the box just to the room with my eyes closed, what I should do with my life, in a general sense--I left Italy after 22 years there, to come back to Canada which is my original home, 5 years ago. I have a stressful job and a terrible boss here for the last 5 years but still that beautiful home in Italy. But I stay here because my wonderful kids are at college here and they are so happy here and we have a nice house here. But I don't think I can stand my job anymore but at 54 years old do I look for a new job or figure out how to afford going back to Italy? And I love this city I want to be here and there....And Yi's answer was 51.4 to 24. It seems like a direct answer to my thoughts! It made me burst into tears. But am I reading this properly? Regarding both readings, what should I glean from all this?

If it felt like a direct answer to your thoughts and made you burst into tears then you can surely trust that. That is you and Yi communicating, that is where you know this isn't just a book, you are being answered and that is what made you cry. I think that's very special when that happens, it's like love coming out of nowhere, knowing that you are known, that your problems are known and cared for.

So to me it sounds like you really connected with Yi and whatever you felt that bought you tears is the truth. Any time I have had the reaction you describe it's been the truth. Also the very act of divining, of connecting, actually works a bit of magic, changes things at that moment sometimes. We can think we are just in our living room with a book and some coins but actually significant changes can happen, realizations and that sense of connection you found makes things a bit different to how they were.

However I don't really understand how you interpreted 54.4. I mean I think you interpreted it correctly because there was that reaction where you felt it directly answering you and no one can take that away from you but as a reader I can't tell what exactly the 54.4 meant to you so maybe you would share it ? It's late so maybe I'm being a bit dense.
