Casting for dream interpretation insight

I have a cluttered mind at present. Trying to clear it and make good decisions. I've been praying and calling out for guidance.

Last night as I was sleeping soundly (I think), I very clearly heard my name called. It wasn't yelled or loud or anything...just distinctly clear and rather firm...firm as in maybe like to get my attention, not grab it per se...but it seemed gentle at the same time.

My eyes flew open and I looked around confused for a moment thinking someone was in the room with me. Of course, no one was. So I quietly reflected on the voice I'd heard and its tone, meanwhile hoping for further words to come now that it had my attention. I heard nothing more and eventually fell back to sleep.

I asked the Yi for insight into who said my name last night and why. I received hexagram 11.4.5. to 43.
I love the general feel of 11: peace and harmony.
Line 4 talks of not boasting about wealth. I sure am not a boaster and have lost the few things I might have ever boasted about anyway...my amazing daughters and dad, the job I enjoyed so much and felt I did well at, the family home my daughters and I were so happy in, and recently, even all my belongings (furniture, knick-knacks, dishes, etc). I'm just not boasting right now nor was I ever the boastful type anyway... Hmm...?
Line 5 talks of marriage or celebrations and remembering that such things are balanced with loss and sadness. It also seems to remind one that these happy times/events are not necessarily ever deserved and shouldn't be expected, but simply to be seen as blessings to exercise gratitude.

Changing to Hexagram 43, Breakthrough. Oh how I've prayed for a "breakthrough" from the past year of avalanche-type circumstances, as opposed to the breakdown I actually feel

In perspective of my dream or the voice I heard last night, I just don't get the message here.
Any thoughts about this casting?

Hey man there is no peace in 11.5 at all. It's your secret/subconscious self loathe for your lack of tolerance and sympathy for those who are doing less well than you or who aren't as good off as you that is troubling you and knowing that is your breakthrough 43.

Time is favourable for seeking interrelations as I can see it out of reading in Wilhelm/Baynes translation.
I guess that dreams have a function to get balance in our minds. When we sleep our eyes are usually closed (at least most of the time); when we look at a colour for a minute or two and then close our eyes we will se the complementary colour ie red to green, even black to white. In the same way, still I guess: worrying during a day will bring the nightsleep trying to weight it up simply to avoid us going in sane; the dreams could to example be about to feel happy in one or the other way. Still guessing: hearing someone calling ones name could be the dream trying to weight up a whole days missing of someone, just anybody, calling ones name being confirmed that one is not that all alone.
The sequence of the eleventh hexagram is from Treading (conduct), hex 10 to Peace, hex 11; but what I find remarkable is that the change goes from one calendrial hexagram to the other; from the first lunar month (february), hex 11, to the third lunar month (april), hex 43. Again, calendrial means from winter towards spring. From a cold dark time to a warm light time. Overall hex 11 is a good omen... saying that solutions is on its way.

43 is speaking out. 11 is Mount Tai, which is a sacred mountain. To marry the sovereign's daughter is heaven marrying earth. In mythological terms, the sovereign of your mountain spoke to you. In more modern lingo one might say, your observer spoke to you. Another might say, someone from the other side spoke to you. Another might say God spoke to you. And yet another would say consciousness spoke to you. "The Dao that can be named isn't the Dao." I'm satisfied calling her the mystery.

I've had a voice calling my name wake me up from a sound sleep many times. Often because I needed to wake up and no alarm set or anything, but not always. When we are asleep and the mind is quiet, we can listen better to our unseen Allies and also to our own inner voice.

If you find such experiences troubling, I tell people eating a hamburger will desensitize you to such things. But we have a spiritual body and spiritual senses, and I think it is normal for a spiritually healthy person to have such experiences occasionally, when the mind is quiet enough.


And old Gospel hymn says "Hush, hush, somebody's calling my name..."

Tim 555: yes, I definitely used to hear a calling in life...but I must have lost my way or didn't hear it correctly in the first place because that wasn't working and I no longer presume to hear my calling at all...

Svenrus: Thank you!! I really needed to hear something uplifting and hopeful like, "calendrial means from winter towards spring.... From a cold dark time to a warm light time....solutions is on its way"!! Also, you're spot on that I'm missing my father and my children horribly and maybe it was just something in my dreams so that I might believe for a moment I wasn't alone. It really could have been my sub-conscious desperate for that validation.

Beautiful! And comforting! And inspiring! Thank you so much for this interpretation! It gives me some comfort in my soul to think "the mystery" was calling me by my name!

Lavalamp: I love hamburgers...and would appreciate any excuse to enjoy one, but I didn't really find it troubling at all. I suppose it only caused serious contemplation because I had spent the entire day prior praying out loud that the Universe would speak to me and give me direct answers to the conflicting choices I have to make right now. Suddenly, something was speaking to me, but I didn't get any "answers"...just more questions...
