That's right. His death was completely unexpected, so I'd been asking about something wholly unrelated, and couldn't see how the 1uc could apply to it at all. Then I got the news and the reading started speaking to me about the persistence of spirit without the body.I think Hilary had 1uc around the time her dad died (I could be wrong)
Sorry about the lack of clarity, Trojina. Guess I didn’t dare to ask openly, ‘Will Rose die?’ So I just presented her to Yi, as if for inspection. She did die, a week or so later. The funeral was last Friday. I feel she’s at peace now, but was perhaps fighting her condition in the days that followed the stroke, as she laid unconscious in the hospital bed. It's not clear what you want to know ? You may know but I don't. Are you asking if she will die ?
I've always wondered what teeth sucking was ?
That is a very interesting reply - then again, death is an interesting thing. Thank you.It looks to me as if the task here is the inner has to change to accommodate the outer, there's no give on the outer trigram it's all in the inner trigram.
Yang 11 yin pattern 12 it's a big theme, the flow of life the stopping of the flow. That's not to say she will die, there is no reading we can point to as death. People cast different answers when they ask about death. I think Hilary had 1uc around the time her dad died (I could be wrong) I had 62uc when asking about the sudden death of a man I'd only met the previous day.
At her age her family will be thinking that it could be the end, that's only natural. Do I detect a slight note of disapproval of them ? I can't exactly work out your mood in your post but there is something of a mood, it seems slightly as if you want to rebel against those other people you speak of ? Or it may just be you are upset as you are fond of her.
It could look the the Creative (1)is bringing a Dead End (12) after all 12 is part of life. If this answer were about how you deal with it, if it were advice for you not sure, it looks a fairly dramatic pattern doesn't it, there's no arguing with it, to me it looks like a fairly clear cut off between the inner and outer trigrams with all the changes lines in the lower.
I don't really know what your answer means though despite getting something of a feel I don't actually know what it means.
Thank for that share, Hilary. I am sorry to learn about your father. That's right. His death was completely unexpected, so I'd been asking about something wholly unrelated, and couldn't see how the 1uc could apply to it at all. Then I got the news and the reading started speaking to me about the persistence of spirit without the body.
I run the local club for survivors of stroke - most of them with aphasia - and 12 is reminding me very strongly of how one man describes the experience. 'Boom,' he says, banging his hand on the table. 'Gone.' And the others nod, knowing exactly what he means: something disconnected, something stopped working, and that was that. Now, they have to use all their ingenuity to find ways round the breach.
1 and 12... the spirit persisting through the disconnection of stroke?
By the way, you were spot on - I did want to rebel against the people I spoke of (it’s a reflex I’m trying to tame). But how could you tell that I do not know.
And people - other neighbours, Rose’s children – they’re all walking around shaking their heads and sucking on their teeth, like they are the ones in the know and as if Rose is already dead.
By "sucking one’s teeth” I meant making that high-pitched whistling sound, usually by sucking on either side of clenched teeth whilst simultaneously exposing them by raising the upper lip. Usually indicates resignation or disapproval. Not to be confused with “kissing one’s teeth."
