This has happened several times in my 40 year journey with the I Ching. Misreading ...
Once (when I had perfect vision but tried to see in the dark) I misread a casting and was looking at the wrong hexagram.
T he question was about a relationship with an older lecturer - I was 20. I wanted to know how things would work out. The reading was positive full of promise and future plans and scenarios went through my head. I fell. asleep full of expectation and hope... The misread casting was 26.6. However I knew instinctively that it was making no sense - that it was not really right - something was missing. I knew that the answer I had got was not truthful somehow.
I had misread..it should have been 24.6 . We did stay together on and off for about a year but it was not altogether a happy time. I only realised that I had misread when I looked back after our separation - about 15 months later....
Today I wanted to know what action to take - nothing too important in the grand scheme of things. I had been baking and my glasses were floury - Looking it up it was 33 to 44. The search started to puzzle me. Nothing seemed right about what was being said nothing made sense to me. I realised that I may have misread ...
I cleaned my glasses - my iPhone is small
The reading was actually 44 .36 to 47. Whilst the casting is not exactly cheery it feels more appropriate.
47 feels right. It makes sense
Just wondering if anyone has had this (dirty glasses or not)! Is the very fact that you misread part of the answer?
