Hello Vasiliki.

Its quite possible that the Ching was welcoming you to a family of sorts. Its also possible it was speaking to you of something specific and important going on in your life right now.

The change lines point to two specifically different ways of going about something. I'll interpret them as it would pertain to this new chapter you're experiencing with the Ching.

The first line (in 3rd place), speaks of discipline. It says that being too harsh may not be the best way to learn, but that its better than not trying to learn at all. The second line (in 5th place), pictures a fatherly figure who can be trusted to lead you. This fatherly figure is within yourself, but could also manifest outwardly.

This changes to #27, Nourishment, which is in line with the purpose of the I Ching in your life. To be nourished by the wisdom contained within it. If you look at the hexagram of #27, it looks like an open mouth, ready to eat and be nourished.

If you have more questions about the reading, I'll do my best to help you to understand them.

Hello Vasiliki,

Nice to meet you - where are you from?

Thank you for sharing this reading, and for the lovely subject line to your post! I think Yi says hello - or maybe 'welcome home'? From what you say about your past relationship with the oracle, I think this reading does indeed relate to that. #27 gives you a whole area of things to look at and think about - what you are seeking, what you need, how this affects the relationship - and also that you don't have to 'swallow whole' everything the oracle offers you. (Maybe. But certainly that you don't have to swallow anything anyone else tells you about what it means!)

As I see line 3, it's a contrast between being argumentative - even if this is no fun - and giving up responsibility, which is more fun but less use. After all, the Judgement of #37 puts the woman at the centre (over to you how you read that!), but here she is in this line giggling with the children as if she had no more authority or influence than they did. And I'd think that you are probably the approaching king in line 5: being able to take charge is intimately linked with being able to care. Perhaps the whole reading points to more of an equal and creative partnership than you had before?

There - a couple more ideas to add to your melting pot
