Former-girlfriend officially. But/And other epic dreams indicative of reversal.

At any rate.

In the dream she brings a live great white shark of perhaps six to eight feet in length to an area outside "our" house, where I am working. She's just dragged it down the walkway and pretty much presented it to me.

I'm a little taken aback, she seems to leave the area, and I do a little dance around the torpid but snapping shark, of which i am acutely wary, and walk the other way, back up the walkway, beckoning the shark to follow.

And it does, like up a fish-ladder for lack of a better description of what the walkway had become. I'm leading it back up toward the back yard, where it will be - or so I recall thinking in the dream - more manageable somehow, like in a more open space, for starters.

And now the GF is in the back yard with me - and there is no "vibe" between us other than a kind of matter-of-fact dealing with this shark we've got to deal with.

Anyway, the shark, which throughout this process has been gradually shrinking in size, ends up going up a kind of conveyor belt - the last stage of its journey - into a freshwater tank, and at this point it's about a foot long.

And I/we "know" it will die in the tank.

The End.

Except for an almost mutual comment to the effect of, well hell yes there are great whites off the coast of santa barbara.

What was K Bringing the Great Shark About?

58, Opening (changing lines 2 and 6) to 25, Without Entanglement

"Opening brings people together and begins a lively creative process of sharing and exchange. It liberates human energies, motivates people to overcome hardship and encourages perseverance...outgoing expression that opens up communication."

- Hilary Barrett

Well, that seems to fit with the shark as metaphor for some threat, or issue, that must be dealt with - the Talk that Has to Happen - in order for True Closure and movement toward...that which follows. It being her that presents the shark (the Situation/Dynamic/Issue) is also in line with the Real Life scenario. I mean, it's all there. I get it. (And appreciate the over-the-topness of it.)

And re Without Entanglement,

..."Freedom from entanglement brings extraordinary energy. It liberates the whole creative flow, from source to enduring fruition, natural and spontaneous as a growing plant. This is the creative potential latent in the present moment. To connect with it, you need to be conscious of your place on the earth, and set yourself straight" accordingly"(HB)...

certainly resonates.

The Talk WILL happen. We'll lay the shark out on the table, cut it open and examine it. Further, such a procedure WILL liberate flow. And any connection to it would not be possible without me having been forced to set myself straight.

My dream book says that to dream of a shark "denotes formidable enemies." There is also mention of jealousies arising while seemingly lost in pleasures and prosperous circumstances.

But since you lead this shark to an open space and manage to contain its shrinking form in a tank, with a view towards dissecting a dead shark later, it would seem that you gain control over and completely reverse the negative content of this dream.

You wrote "I get it." Good luck with setting yourself straight.
