Dream Interpretation - Worried about 17

Hello Everyone,

I haven't been posting lately as I haven't used the I Ching that much but have been meditating daily and reading the Tao de Ching. Everything has been quiet.

But early this morning I had a lucid dream about my ex-Lover and his wife again (I have maintained my NO CONTACT rule..and have not had any contact with him whatsoever). This time it was a bit scary. His wife was calling my sister, me and my child. She was stalking us on the phone. Then called me to say, "hey, I am up the street at an indian restaurant (actually in the dream she said the name of the restaurant and it started with a "T) come up here, my husband is with me".

I wouldn't take her calls in my dream..
I was trying to run away or hide and protect my son. I was weird.

There was alot of water again in the dream. It was raining and somehow it seemed like the rain was reaching indoors.

I asked the IC "why did I have this dream?"

She answered: Hexagram 17 Following changing lines 2, 4 and 5 leading to 19 Approach.

This feels foreboding.

I just asked, "what did the dream mean?" and the Yi answered: Hex 54 unchanging.

I really feel uneasy, somehow insecure. odd

I asked, "is his wife discovering the truth about him?" The answer was Hex 7.1 The Army, leading to Hexagram 19 Approach.

I think the IC is saying that she has not yet but that the universe is setting things in proper order for that to happen,..the time is approaching.

This makes me both happy and sad for her...since I woke up from this dream I am feeling a sense of empathy (and foreboding as mentioned above).
If she finds out that he has cheated on her with at least 6 other women during the course of their 3 year marriage..it is going to be a Hex 51 situation. Especially she just gave birth to twins.

These men in France are incredible. I wish I hadn't had this dream, I have already met someone else and started a new relationship.

Tarot gave a parallel answer to this yesterday, BEFORE I had the dream.
It gave the following cards:
The Wheel - ever changing life
3 of Cups - prayer, humble request
The Chariot - victory upside down. meaning either a lower level of victory,..mistake, error that leads to a different kind of victory
Queen of Pentacles - awoman of her own means (that's me, I get her all the time.)
Knave of Swords - message, news

I think 17.2 indicates that you're wasting time thinking about this guy. He isn't worth it. 17.4 talks about 'following' someone for the wrong reasons. I think 17.5 is simply saying that you don't have anything else to focus on right now.

That's why you had this dream about him.

I think 54 is saying something very similar. You're somehow under his spell right now.

Hmm..well I asked the I Ching to interpret the dream. Like I said, I don't think about it as I am in a new relationship, at a new job and getting ready to take a big trip to a new land..the dream was unexpected but then again..who knows what's stewing around in my subconscious..

I think the cards were alerting you that the dream was coming, a message indicated by the knave of swords. Then there are other ideas in those cards..

Looking at your tarot cards..
The Wheel, change, evolving.
3 of cups - I read this card as A Romance.
the Chariot reversed, the chariot not moving forward.

These first three seem to express the first part of 17.4, " Following creates success. Perseverance brings misfortune." You have been partially successful in dealing with this situation by simply allowing the thoughts to be there, but not entertaining them. That is, you've had this no contact rule, but even though you haven't had contact, he's still THERE hovering just beyond the border of consciousness. So you haven't been able to entirely evolve past this romance.

The Queen of Coins, you. The Queen of Coins is known for her SINCERITY.
Knave of Swords, this is you looking at the situation from a distance, objective and without comittment, thus able to get CLARITY.

17.4 continues, "To go one's way with sincerity brings clarity. How could there be blame in this?" So it seems the I Ching is telling you you know longer need to jusst shove all thoughts of this person out of your mind. You can look at what went on between you with sincerity and this will bring clarity.

17.5 Sincere in the good. Good fortune.
Every man must have something he follows - something that serves him as a lodestar.
Perhaps the tarot reading was alerting you that you would be having a dream that would be giving you some clarity to help you finally completely learn from the lesson of this experience and move on.

What the lesson is only you can say. I see 17.2 as possibly meaning something about you and your son and this man. Perhaps if you consider how ultimately this would not be the sort of man you would wish to have as your son's role model it will enable you to more completely wash him out of your hair. Or perhaps it literally means as long as this man is in your thoughts it is preventing you from moving on, meeting Mr. Right.

All the water in the dream suggests tears and emotion. Perhaps the wifes tears? How did you manage to carry on an affair, knowing there was a wife? Did he convince you they had an "Understanding"? Or did you just try to push that part of the story out of your mind? If You tried to ignor that part of the equation perhaps the dream is showing you that you need to recognize it now. You can't be a true Queen of Coins if you are not acknowledging the whole reality! Perhaps there is some pentance, gesture you could make that is symbolic of asking the wife's forgiveness. Perhaps a donation to a woman's shelter. By fully acknowledging the pain affairs cause the third party I would think you will strengthen your own antennae and in the future should you meet a charming man you will immediately pick up the signal if there is another woman in the background.

My experience with 19 is it has to do with walking your talk. I think you are being alerted here that you are the role model for your son. Fall in love with a decent, honest, wonderful man and your son will marry a woman who brings out the wonderful man in him, too! (I think that 8th month stuff just means that scary moment when you have to set him free to choose for himself. If you've done your role modeling well he'll do just fine.)

Deam interpretation by C.G.Jung - water means your feelings - shortly - clear water good, muddy water -bad. If the water was comming to your indoor it could mean tyou are afraid that problems with your ex will catch you again. When you push things away in you physical life they 'sink' and after a while when you get more quiet start to get back on the surface trough dreams. It happens to me regularly.
