Friendship returning to former conditions

I was hoping to get some clarity on this siuation with my friend which is bothering me. We seem to have drifted a lot and although I have made the effort, lately it has not really been reciprocated. I was wondering whether our friendship may return back to its former conditions. The person is involved with a very possessive partner at the moment and I thought maybe this might be the reason. I received the following:

The final hexagram is Hexagram 14 (Possession in great measure).

From my interpretation it seems as if the situation is hopeless at the moment, but may improve slightly in the future.

I think your friend may be going through a transition (especially with her/his? possessive partner), and the lines of the hexagram seem to be revealing this. Line 3 means she/he is going through something where the self must be obscured and submit to many things.

Especially in line 4, there is the implication that your friend may need to regroup/refashion relationships (dispersing, then recollecting) and line 5 shows this is a very profound time for them.

Yes, I would say ride it out, until you reach the state of 14, wherein you may once again have this friendship in the spirit of Possession in Great Measure. This hexagram relating to 59 may also show the state your friend is in with the current partner relationship.
