Is there a prior working relationship that went sour, that you may be able to reconcile?

Since there's no money in it for you, that doesn't sound helpful to the needs you've asked about.

Are you licensed in marriage counseling or some such? I understand you've been involved with medium work or counseling of some sort. Is there an opportunity there for income? Your reading appears to bring opposing sides together.

Thks sooo - well no to being licensed in any sort of counselling but yes when I was doing my medium work I referred to it as psychic counselling as I had no interest in just being a fortune teller as such but I lost interest in doing it for others for a couple of reasons.
However one of my friends who is in the same sort of work keeps asking me when I am going to get back into it but I still find myself not having the inspiration.
And it became a topic of discussion with another friend last night and when I explained I am more interested in helping people reach their full potential in life than prediction so to speak she said 'that sounds like 'life coaching and there is no reason why you couldn't use your psychic skills that way'.......

Although still quite opposed to it in myself I asked 'How should I use my pyschic skills to generate an income' Hexagram 12.4>20 - ***** couldn't be much clearer lol

So now just gotta work out how I can get a client base happening.

How can I generate a new client base for my psychic work Hexagram 17.4>3

"An influencial person, due to his position, can attract followers whose prime intention is self-interest. If surrounded by these people and their flattery, the individual will loose sight of his path (due to feeling secure) and eventually suffer. A false sense of security. See through this to survive."

Well of course 'my followers' prime intention would be self-interest so I really am unsure about this one.
I am not interested in being flattered - I know I have the skills to help others and that's what I would like to do but I am looking for clients that really have an interest in moving forward in their life not just coming to me to hear me 'talk' about their troubles/issues and then doing nothing 'substantial' with the information I have been able to access for them.

thks sooo for your help here - few words but kicked in the thought process and also possibly a kick up the b... for me Liss x

I have never done my work without sincerity and without ego - so I am unsure about this one.

Sounds like a good interpretation for 17.4-3 to me, including your initial uncertainty, and possibly including the start up of the practice.

Yes, 12.4-20 can fit nicely into this picture also.

If you have the gift, why not use it.

Have to say though, I empathize with your uncertainty. I hung a shingle for Yi readings, locally and online. It never felt quite right to me. Not to say, though, it wouldn't or shouldn't for someone else.

Good luck with this, or whatever path you choose, Melisa. Curious how this works out for you.

The visual of hexagram 17 is a wine vessel like the Jue 爵. The visual of hexagram 3 is the carriage of an official going about to rally troops. Bradford translates the name of this hexagram as 'Rallying' but I had reached that conclusion independently from study of the King Wen Sequence.

wine vessel + troops = a barmaid or waitress near a military base

I had to look RSA up:

Responsible Service of Alcohol

The Responsible Serving of Alcohol course is a nationally accredited certificate and is a compulsory requirement for anybody in Australia working in an environment where alcohol is available for purchase. RSA training is necessary because anyone who is involved in the serving, selling or supplying of alcohol need to understand their legal liquor obligations.
