going on a longer journey 19 unchanged and 28.4 > 48.4

Hello,

I was planning to go on a 8 weeks journey soon and asked the Yi, if this journey will bring me luck. the result was 19, unchanged. I know there is a warning within the hexagram, that there'll come pitfall in the 8. month. I was thinking about that and about my doubts, that maybe 8 weeks is a bit too long for traveling for me these days, since I have not so much money right now.
So I asked the I ching if it would be better to travel only 7 weeks. The Yi answered with 28.4 > 48.4. For me, this is possibly an omen that I am right and shouldn't overdo this, since I am in a not so stable financial situation. Or maybe I am interpreting it totally wrong? Does anybody have a clue? I would be very happy about your ideas.
I believe that the journey itself is a good decision, also 48.4 is fitting, since I am going on a spiritual retreat. I am only thinking twice about the lenght, especially considering my cast.

28.4 to 48 ~ It would be better, but there are still risks.

My reading is that going on a spiritual retreat would be good, if you can go in the Fall, and save up some money between now and then.

If your only window to go on retreat is before the Fall, then you should seriously consider not going ~ while it might work out, the chances that you'll find calamity are strong.

There has been a good deal written about the idea of good luck vs bad luck. What seems like bad luck turns out to be good luck and vice versa. There are a number of versions of the story where one turns to the other. I think the idea is it a matter of perception and how we respond to events. Also there is the idea of not giving too muh weight as either negative or positive, but to walk a middle road.

The lower trigram is lake and and represents you or your attitude towards the situation. It says to keep a joyful, positive attitude. Lake also reflects the outer in its surface. Here it is earth and and reiterates the message that what you reflect is what you get back. Lake also is about paying attention to that which feeds the lake to keep it full. Consider your choices that add to your joy and contentment. The outer situation is earth and its main attributes are being open and responsive. It could indicate a nurturing environment.

My feeling is that your intended journey will bring joy and be nurturing. I also think that it is wise to pay attention to your resources and remain flexible. I see it that there are no specific imbalances with no changing lines, but it is always wise to be responsive to changing conditions.

A very late thank you, Maggie May. And thank you a lot as well, radiofreewill.

My trip was really pleasant, no external cirumstances were disturbing my journey. I had a lot of fun, met inspirational people and started to walk a new path in my life. ( I became a vegetarian for example)
So it could have been a very light-hearted time, if I would have been positive as you suggested, Maggie.
But I was also chasen by my inner demons, confronted with my shadows, so I also had to face some difficulties, I was sad from time to time. But at the end it turned to be out a very wonderful, important and nurturing experience.
I had no money problems at all, but it's no wonder that your answer related to this aspect, radiofreewill, since I was stressing it.
