Tests came back that everything was ok, got a vitamin deficiency that I'll need prescription for, doctor said that might be causing me to be so washed out which matches diamanda's comment on 'shells' and 'vigor' bang on.

if you're sick or have an infection and it's not getting better then you should go to a doctor and get tests if that's what's needed.

Got tests rather than waiting the week in the end, though finally feel much better

Your illness clears up on its own. 🎉 Which in a way means you never needed the doctor in the first place, but there was still a small yield from talking to him: information, reassurance, instructions, and a suggested time frame (let him know in a week if it's worse or not any better). At least that'll help with your worrying, I hope.

It was this one, the small yield I'm guessing will be the prescription, maybe I will look better or have more energy since as previously said I've been rather run down - I'm thinking possibly that prolonged my ability to fight the infection thus why it hung on so long.

Have you taken Hilary's beginner's course? It sounds like you might have, or you'd gotten past that point on your own. (It might still be worth a once-over - Hilary has a habit of inserting unexpected gems into things.)

The next step would be the Foundations course. It even turns out, conveniently, that Hilary's teaching a live Foundations class in a few weeks.

Yes to the beginners one, I got it in weekly emails, except I would often forget what I learned in the old one when I got the new one so the plan was to go over it all in one go - well that was the plan anyway. While it's not in my current budget the foundation course looks good.

the plan was to go over it all in one go
You can go through it online:
  1. Go up to the top of any Clarity page - to the banner with the menu in it.
  2. Hover your mouse over the heading "Learn the I Ching."
  3. That will open up another box - at the top of its left column, there's a link called "Beginners' Course." Click on it.
  4. That'll take you to the Beginners' Course introduction page. Scroll all the way to the bottom - past the form to sign up to get it via email - and you'll see a big blue arrow in a circle, and below it the words "Next: what does 'I Ching' mean?" Click the arrow - it'll take you to the first lesson.
  5. You can page through the whole course like that.
I'm glad you're feeling better - and that the doctor discovered the vitamin problem - and I hope the prescription helps.

Thanks, this should help any outstanding readings I'm still mulling over, should manage to go through it before the weekend.

I hope so too, I'm quite lucky it was discovered before it lead to any serious problem of any sort.

Do you or the doctor have any idea what caused the vitamin deficiency?

Oh, they didn't bring that up and I was too relieved, I'll have to get second tests so I'll ask, it's probably general health, lifestyle, diet, thinking now a wonky digestion might be linked.

Glad to hear it was nothing serious JAT! And pill vitamins is quite 22. Many shells but pretty ones, so nothing too drastic (not 21, and not 27).

Yes, and it all connects, the respiratory infection, low mood, tiredness and pains are all linked to it, so while most of the symptoms got better on their own I'd likely find myself back here again somewhere down the line had I not gone plus with hazardously low levels they just hand over the pills - so besides taking them there's nothing else for me to do, a good outcome I think :)

Well ... just went through this thread while researching 22uc.

And couldn't help noticing the dates! and all your symptoms.
March 2020 ... wonder if it was Covid, in fact.
Hope you're all healed ... and that you didn't drag a long-Covid through the year.
