good confined or bad confined? 40.5 to 47 (why is it not 37)

Ok dear all

So all astral planes are aligned and financial issues quite under control to be able to ask the landlord if I could sell this house.

this house is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO great. (sorry for the caps lock but there are no words to explain how great this is). I live in an attic with so much light and air and silence and the blackbirds are singing and the neighbours are really cool people i go out with and every other possible thing that could go well goes well. The previous tenants (cool kids moving to the countryside in a house made of lime bricks- I live in Belgium so not sure it is a good idea) wrote magic spells on the corners of the house and maybe this adds to the fact that I feel so safe, like this house was my womb.

I am not sure my landlord will sell, but I will give it a try.
I kinda asked a tentative question to the Yi

"What do I need to know about buying this house"

(the question was suggested by dobro in a previous thread

and got 40.5 to 47 as an answer.
I want to believe that this means that it is a good idea but the landlord ... mmm. maybe will have to be convinced full blast that it's better to sell this house. I do not see no particular straightforward no, but I am always puzzled by great and small people and I do tend to see myself as the latter (yes I do have self-esteem issues).

On the other side I would like to see 47 as material walls so guuuuud for me, but other hexagrams would have made more sense in this sense.

Hi There. Well when you get only one line changing you just focus on that line, hex 40 is like the theme of the line, liberation. You don't focus on the resulting hexagram, because if there is only one changing line there isn't much change to focus on the other hexagram, only if there are two or more changing lines then you can focus on the resulting hexagram, so you can discard hex 47. Well, you said that you are not sure if the landlord will sell the house... well hex 40 and the line you got 40.5 maybe is just telling you to let the idea, that you want to buy it, be known to him. Liberate the idea that binds you. It indicates there's good fortune and to trust this person (ordinary people). Will he sell it, well the I Ching hasn't answered that, but maybe you can convince him Just show how much you love the place. The I Ching is maybe just giving you the next step to follow. Anyhow, good luck on it, does seem like a lovely place with the description you gave.
