Help!! Considering making an offer on a house tonight!!

Im considering making an offer on house tonight, or first thing tomorrow morning.

I consulted the iching for wisdom on this big move, and of the amount of my offer.

I received 9 changing to 41.

Opinions and insight on this outcome would be MUCH appreciated at this moment!

Hello,

I don't have much time to analyse this right now, but just because it sounds urgent
for you, i'll say this - the answer is not favourable. I get a feeling it will fall through
anyway, and the reason will be something beyond your power. Or, if you do it, the
consequences will be bad (either the deal will suffer, or your marriage will suffer as
a result). Perhaps look in your neighbourhood or ask the help of a neighbour (9:5), for
something cheaper (41)?

hmmm.... well this seems to be VERY true. thank you for your interpretation. it helps me feel better about how the situation is unfolding. i did put in an offer on thursday morning (before seeing this response) and never heard anything...

...until today, when i had a friend call and inquire out of curiosity. they told her they had 2 offers, but no contract yet. i found it strange that they hadnt told me this so that i might be willing to beat their offer! well, i called this this eve to see if they had a chance to review my offer and they never even gave the curtousy of returning my call. therefore, the universe seems to be bringing me confirmation that your interpretation is correct.

thank you again for taking the time to respond. it is very much appreciated. i trust in the iching greatly, but more often than not i get confused in the interpretations.

Some comments with hindsight:
9.3.5 > 41 Small Taming > Decrease
9: There are clouds but they do not bring rain (your offer does not produce results).
9.3: The cart loses its wheel spoke, husband and wife avert their eyes (things don't go well and there are hard feelings).
9.5: Maybe a neighbor can give you a new lead.

41: Decrease, loss, letting go. There are two platters for the offering.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

i had to return to this thread and let you guys know that this hex, and your interpretations were right on the money!!! (pardon the pun )

not only did they get another offer the same day, but it was for full asking price. the worst of it is that they completely shut me out. they didnt even offer the respect of calling me to tell me about the other offer, much less give me the option to beat it! i had to find out through a friend that there was another offer, and through A DIFFERENT friend what the other offer was...

i am still a bit angered with their disrespect, but at the same time i am thankful that it didnt work out because now i know it wasnt supposed to. and, even more so, i am thankful that i had the foresight (with you guys' help) to know that it wasnt going to work out!! i feel great about it!

as a matter of fact, i have come full circle and am back to taking action to purchase the house i am currently renting... i wavered from it for a while, but i feel genuinely bonded with this house and want to "make it mine".

anyhoo, i made them a purchase offer 2 days ago and am waiting to hear a response.

i did a hex last night and asked for "guidance for the right decisions regarding negotiating/purchasing this house" and got...

24.3 to 36

interesting, i thought. especially line 3 talking about wavering back and forth (which obviously i had been doing)... but 36 confused me a bit... is it a warning that this may get very difficult(??), or do you suppose its just reiterating my previous cycles and showing how i need not be in order to complete my goal???

If you have really made up your mind that you want this house then try but Hex 36 says that you are in for a difficult time on this one, it could be that they will reject your offer, or it could be that again there are other people also in the market for this house. The advice is not to push or show that you are over anxious, just wait and see what happens now but don't give up hope, it is like the situation is a game of wills, soon enough the tide will turn in your favour. Be patient.

Hi lahunter212,

It might indeed be what you said, that the answer shows your previous
wavering, and that that led you to danger and feeling hurt ('wounded
intelligence'). So it may be a reminder of that, and advising you to not
waver any more. 36 in this case might also mean 'keep it quiet for a bit',
don't go around talking about your intentions for now. And another aspect
of 36 is 'cocooning', which again i'd say is positive for this specific question.

So, concerning decisions/negotiations about buying your flat: don't waver,
be steady, and try to keep it under wraps for now.

36 may well mean that difficulties will come up too, but just because of
the nature of the whole answer (24-light, 36-dark, and line 3, going back
and forth from light to darkness), there's promise in that if you don't waver
then you'll be able to reverse it all and go back towards 24 again (you've
said yourself that you've come 'full circle', so that sounds good!).
