Hi everyone,

This has been a rough year financially. I have taken a part time job to try to make ends meet. I asked the yi how would this new job influence my debts? I am hoping it will allow me to pay them and set me free (This debt feels like a weight on my shoulders). I received:

Hexagram 40 - Deliverance

Changing at line 4 - what does losing one's toes mean?

Resulting hexagram is hexagram 7 - the army

Does it mean perhaps in order to achieve this, I would have to work very hard. Give up socialising and have firm discipline?

Please advise!!! Thanks so much.

I'd say this could be a whole lot easier than the way you are going about it. 40.4 can show we are too attached to how things ought to be done, we need to relax our grip, see other options.

Have you talked to any debt advice charities ? They can help you find the best way for you to solve things. They can be very supportive in going through things with you.

It's a good answer. This could be a whole lot easier, you could be released from this much more easily than you imagine

with one line moving I give that line more weight and don't bother trying desperately to fit the relating hex in...but hex 7 here might support my idea that you look to a collective source of help and advice.

People in debt feel alone and ashamed often but this doesn't help. Many many people are in the same situation, it is a collective problem in a sense . 7 can refer to a plan of action or a scheme.

Instead of just thinking that you must work 24 hour days and punish yourself, stand back, let it go for a moment, do some research online or talk to friends and so on. There is more than one way to skin a cat !

If you want to get free (40) hex 7 asks you 'how ?' 40.4 says let go a bit of your grip on this, allow other plans of action to appear
