I don't think "theory" really does the trick. What about discussions about translation issues, history, Chinese culture, divination methods and techniques, or I Ching books and authorities - hardly "theory", I would think.

My first choice for a vibrant, welcoming title would be ... "Yijing Hermenuetics".

Or another idea might be to divide the whole forum into two sections: (1) Substantiated Opinions, and (2) Unsubstatiated Opinions. That would just about cover everything here, although it might be a little top-heavy toward one section.

Seriously, how about something simple like "I Ching Discussion" or "Exploring the Yi"? I think "theory" is awfully judgmental and slightly disparaging, given the popular connotations of the term. "Well, that's the theory!" "It's only a theory." "Evolution is just a theory." "This should work -- in theory." Etc. etc.

I was initially biased against 'theory' for all those reasons - those I suppose strictly speaking, if it's not a reading it's theory - it's just I take the point about needing a label that says Post Your Reading Over There, Please. Does 'Exploring Divination' do the job?

Btw, I think the newest version looks really nice.. much crisper.

I understand what you're saying, Hilary. We may easily understand what goes where, but many new folks won't understand anything vague. hmm

The new version looks visually unbalanced to me.
The navigation tabs are too light and have too little contrast as compared to the dark blue with the white font above. The Clarity logo seems slightly to big, and not on the right spot. I think it should be a bit lower and more to the left. The lightest part of the gradient should be aligned with the middle of the logo.

Ewald, I appreciate you no end. However, if I try to go through another rounds of tweaks to that design just now I shall end up quivering on a branch somewhere, making strange wibbling noises that cause the squirrels to give me old-fashioned looks.

When Dawud delivers the final version, though, it'll come with all the psd files, and if inspiration strikes I/we can play with them over again.
