Help with relationship reading Hex 28.1.2

Hi all,

I'm new to posting on this forum, but have lately been getting a lot out of it as my life lurches around!
I would love some help with my question "What is the potential of my relationship with x"

I received Hexagram 28.1.2.
We met when I was feeling like I was at the end of options back in my hometown. I went out in a mood of - i have nothing to lose. He was performing, saw me from the stage and then we passed through a door together, he kissed me, called me mysterious and gave me his card. Sounds too smooth i know, writing this! - A few months later, after getting to know him, we had what I thought was an amazing first date. I then found out he had a gf, whom he lives withuch: Things are in his words "falling apart" between them and he is just trying to hold things together - he also lost his job.

I am left feeling out of my depth as he has a powerful but light presence which is hard to describe.

On my end I haven't had a smooth ride either with work/living etc but have just started a great new job. But it almost like theres no place for us, even though there has been a pretty flowing chain of events and encounters...but it is a small place. Should I just give up on the idea of this romance? I am in my mid 30's so dont need to have false hope!
Any insights are very much appreciated...

Just feel that with 28.12 there is a spark of light happening, and especially with 28.2 there is definitely a move towards advancement. However, with the 28.1 I have always had experiences that whilst the spark is lovely, it is not necessarily going to happen either as I intended, or indeed at that time. An example I had was when I got this reading for a house that I wanted to buy many years ago. It was a really lovely opportunity and although I did eventually buy another one (there was an issue with the probate on the other one) I changed my ideas based on the original proposed purchase - ie I was looking for a house and ended up buying a flat. I am not saying that things will not work out with this person, but that it is all advantageous for you, whatever happens.

Also this changes to hex 49 - revolution or change.

There is definitely an anxious feel to this reading - anxiety is not helpful. Perhaps let the relationship sit on a back burner for a bit. Hex 49 always feels like someone saying - Relax, God's in charge......

I try not to read all your post to read something about this hexagram.
30 activated1 and 2: Here I can see you have more experiences than X. Experiences come from ages/life/etc..This aspect is very good to maintain a nice relation and leads it to so far. However,it also needed to promote 1 thing: romance. in comparison to X, you are so calm and older, so I think something which is of youth is suitable to you.

28.1 shows great care when faced with heavy problems. He might indeed make an effort to break up with his current girlfriend. 28.2 speaks about a new wife - so perhaps he does indeed intend to form a proper relationship with you.

In 49 two women "live together" and they are at odds with each other. The situation with his girlfriend will not resolve itself quickly. The potential of your relationship with him will depend on how he resolves the conflict of choosing one of you.

I agree line 2 is about new things and 49 the whole situation could turn on its head to a favourable situation, I would wait it out , the reading in general is auspicious.

Lets us know if something happens would be interested to hear about the outcome.

Give up? Hexagram 53.2.4.6

Hello all,

I felt the need to cast another reading as things have come to a standstill. Well, I am really wondering whether to just give up completely on the idea of him. Ot whether I need to Do something...

I received Hexagram 53.2.4.6
53 is called Gradual progress, but it certainly doesnt seem that way.

The key questions to 28 Great Exceeding really seem to resonate:
What is overloaded?
What have you outgrown?
What must you do?
I am feeling it applies to both of us, as it seems his life was also falling apart at the seams the last time we talked.
As for me I feel like Something must give - I feel a huge weight from just being on my own most of the time. I seem to have these patches of complete aimlessness even though I know I need to improve my life in so many ways - but its almost seems like I cant really do much in most departments.

Any insights are much appreciated and I will get better at the interpretation bit as I go along!

In your first question you asked about the potential of the relationship, and the answer showed that the ball is in his court. And yet there is the possibility that the issue will be resolved to your benefit, but things/he will move slowly.

Your new question focuses on something different - what action, if any, you should take. And I believe the answer shows that you can definitely influence the outcome.

If you play along and just enjoy the good times with him, without questioning anything (53.2), then he won't take any action and will just view you as something temporary (53.4), and eventually you'll break up (53.6). The whole thing will be too heavy and only then you'll feel forced to act (28) - but it will probably be too late.
I believe the answer tells you that yes, you'll need to do something.
As to what that is... well, that's another question!

Followup Hexagram 27.5

In the spirit of having nothing to lose I came up with a subsequent question:
Can I make a difference by helping x to find work using my skills and contacts?

Things are tamed, and so there can be nurturing, and so Nourishment follows. Nourishment means nurturing.
Line 5:
Rejecting the standard,
Dwelling here with constancy: good fortune.
Cannot cross the great river.

Changing to 42, Increasing.

it is so strange, I feel so restricted in my life and so aware that I have pretty limited powers. I take from the reading that I want to / could be nourishing and nurturing to him, perhaps this is `the standard.' but either he or circumstances don't allow for this, so I am at standstill. Unable to help the situation progress.


Also, I am not quite understanding how the I-Ching works in terms of query and querent..
