I seldom cast a 1.

I had an interview this morning and this is the 3rd one with this same company. They keep rejecting me but then my resume gets in front of them again months later and they call me in again.

My question was How did the interview with X company go today?

Answer was

1.1.4.6 > 48

Hex 1 The Creative

Line 1 Hidden dragon do not act

pretty self explanatory here.

Line 4

Wavering flight over the depths. No blame

Line 6

It warns against being overbearing.

Hex 48 The Well

I don't think they liked me and I predict I don't get the job. They didn't like me the other 2 times so I have no idea why they keep asking me back? If they ask me back again, I will decline.

The answer is not well at all, if this is the third time then definitely don't go again.

The way they keep asking you back makes me think they already possibly have internal candidates for this job but need other applicants for the look of things. As your resume looks right it probably why they keep picking you out - or maybe they disagree amongst themselves if there was more than one interviewer. Hmm if there were 3 people interviewing that could be the 3 lines in hex 1. I see 48 here as indicating their resources, viewing you as a resource and maybe the situations a little more complex than you think. With 1.6 I think there may be some squabbling going on here over whether they have you or not.

Anyhow I can't say from this answer if you'll succeed or not, I don't think they have even decided yet (1.4) strange answer, tell us what happens :)

I think Trojan has it right saying they may be calling people to interview in even though they already have their candidate in mind. Spelling it out thus...

The Well could mean all the candidates they have to choose from.

1.1 Hidden dragon: Their hidden motive in asking you to interview again.
1.4 While ordinarily one would think this line was a positive, in this situation it sounds more like nothing you could say would have made any difference, as they weren't looking to hire anyone in the first place.
1.6 Arrogant dragon. As I don't think you jumped up and told them how to run their company, I suspect THEY were the arrogant dragon asking people to come in to interview when they already knew who they intend to hire.

Now just watch, they'll offer you the job! Ha! Well, if they don't I sure agree with Willowfox, no need to go play games with them again!

Thank you to everyone!

It was indeed an interesting cast for a job!

I did get the job offer!

But... there are some issues.

I had presented myself the 2 times I had interviewed before. This time an agency presented me but the thing is I had told them I had already been unsuccessful twice and besides the person who holds my work visa presented me to them again a few weeks ago.

So now the agency wants a cut of the pie and so the client, the agency, and the place that holds my visa are squabbling over the details.

I did get a call back from the person who holds my visa that he thinks he has got it worked out but it isn't quite a done deal.

I have another interview this afternoon somewhere else though.

I asked how my interview today will go with Y company?

56.2.4 > 18

56 The Wanderer

Lu intimates that in the condition which it denotes there may be some little attainment and progress. If the stranger or traveler be firm and correct as he ought to be, there will be good fortune.

Line 2

He is provided with good and trusty servants: he will in the end have nothing of which to complain.

Line 4

The stranger is in a resting place: but he has not got his proper position. He has the means of livelihood, and the axe: but his mind is not at ease.

Hex 18

Work on What Has Been Spoiled (Decay)

It seems I will get the offer but if I go there, I won't care for it and will move on to something else.

It would suggest that you will be offered the job but something about the place will make you feel apprehensive about taking it.

Update:

The 2nd job called today and said they were still interested but see they never did make an offer. They said they were sorting the visa thing out.

The 1st job made the offer and it finally got sorted out today so I accepted and I resigned from my existing company.

It is not that they didn't make you an offer, you cut it short before they could.

The early readings gave me the impression that it would have been better to not talk of your achievements or talents, but rather to "drink up" information from the interviewer. Making the interview more about your genuine interest in them.

My experience with head/job hunters is: pay them, even if it's dubious who actually landed you the gig.

Thanks again everyone! :bows:

It is true, the company was planning to make an offer but I had already decided on the other job first.

I let them argue it out about paying the agency or not. Times like that I am glad to have people negotiating and handling those types of things so I can focus on the job.

I am still puzzled by the first case and thinking I wasn't going to get the job.

The interview only lasted 20 minutes and it did seem to be more of a behavioural interview them wanting to know if I would fit in or not. I suppose they knew I had the skills but just wanted me to be a good fit.

I resigned from the other company giving my notice and it was quite sad but still a relief to be moving on.
