Hex 1 unchanging

Hi all--

I am in the middle of some heavy relationship drama--actually not that dramatic from the outside I guess, but inside I am deciding whether to continue a relationship that I feel is not nurturing enough. My partner and I had a long discussion about this today. He feels that I am unhappy with other factors in my life, but am projecting that unhappiness onto the relationship. My feeling is that we are incompatible in our outlooks, and that no amount of work is going to change that. He asked to go to counseling together, so we will. I think he believes that the counselor will show me how I am "making this up to fit an old narrative" of my life, as he believes is true. Anyway, I asked "Am I on the right track in forcing this issue?", and got Hex 1 unchanging. I'm taking that to mean that the Creative is at work, that all is as it should be, and that I should keep responding as genuinely as I can moment-to-moment (as is always true) but that I am not making a mistake, or being self-destructive. I'd love to hear some other thoughts on this, though. I've been an I Ching meditator for many years, and I don't ever remember getting Hex 1 unchanging before. I discovered this community when searching for info on Hex 1 unchanging, and am very glad I did! Thanks for your thoughts.

My experience with Hexagram 1 unchanging is that there is still passion in the relationship (& big time!), so it will continue... It's as if sometimes the relationships are like entities per se, which take care of itself, without too much of our own involvement. Anyway it is, when overwhelmed by the energies of "Creative", i think it's wise not to act in any direction, but to wait for it all to calm down and settle.
There are many way more experienced and wiser folks on boards here, i hope some of them will reply too - mine is merely personal experience from castings

I'd suggest it means stand up for yourself and your higher purposes. Don't settle for less.

I would have never thought Hex 1 also means that..good real good! Aim for higher purposes perfectly defines hexahram 1 for me.
