Having recently turned 59 I have been reviewing my life and starting to sense change. I am no longer the young and foolish. Maybe now a bit past middle age and still foolish?

Without going to deeply into my history, in a discussion with a trusted friend, I came to a conclusion that everything I had done up until now, the careers, the education, every where I have lived, and everything I have done, was without regard to the CREATIVE. It really bothered me that I might have spent 6 decades living fueled by defiance and grandiosity. I asked the I Ching "Has everything up until now been all self-will?" I received Hex 22 Unchanging. Thus has been on my mind quite a bit. I asked the I Ching again, "Do I simply let go of everything?" and received Hex 22 Unchanging again.

I have read many posts concerning Hex 22 unchanging.

My interpretation of Pi/Bi - well - to be honest I am confused and wondering 1) have I failed at life and that which the Creative wants? ,and 2) have I hidden my true fire under the mountain through self-will, defiance, and grandiosity? and finally, now, what if anything do I do?

You certainly have not failed in life. I d rather think that it is time to add some beauty to your every day life. Learn an instrument. Visit some museums, look up to the Stars.
Good luck.

You're judging yourself through your own identity masks, 22. We need these masks to get through life and to show what is beneath. However we cannot judge ourselves through the masks we have taken on.

Teenagers try many masks on for size, to find a suitable persona to wear in the world. It doesn't stop there we keep on developing and refining these according to the life situation we are in. These are necessary but 22 says don't make serious lasting judgments based on presentations. That includes serious or lasting judgements on yourself. Look back to when you were 16, you may have taken a certain persona you discarded later but would you judge that 16 year old as a failure simply by viewing the way he presented himself ?

You are now judging self by viewing self from the outside. But there's more inside that's not to be judged that way.
