a recent post on the tai chi thread, made me look for the works of Da Liu, interconnecting tai chi, yijing and meditation (very good stuff).
Amazon had the whole 1st chapter from "tai chi chuan and meditation" online (apparently its not anymore), and on it there was a very interesting idea, that of hexagram 5 dealing literally with the practice of meditation.

The arguments are very interesting, the xun character represents a man sitting in meditation (upper part, rain is the head, shoulders/arms and ribs, lower part is a bench and the bottom right hook are the legs), and the whole text is a succint manual to the meditation practice. Even the lines represent the different stages of the qi flow during the practice ("waiting in the meadow" is the abdomen, "mud" the perinium, 4th line "waiting in blood get out of the pit" is where the jing turns to qi, 5th "meat and drink" is the qi becoming saliva and 6th "falls into the pit" means the saliva going down the throat to the dan tien (abdomen), the "3 uninvited guests" are the three flowers that rise on top of the head: jing, qi and shen)

It also mentions hex 63 as similarly intended, but I had already found that parallel from the li tao chun and shenshu. The structure of 63, with the fire and water (which are the result of the primal exchange between heaven and earth) makes it the supreme paradigm of harmonizing the yin and yang energies in us, the sexual (water-strong inside weak outside) and the heart (fire-strong outside, weak inside) energies.

The shenshu has one poem dedicated to the subject (362) where the author explicitly names hex 63 (first chars are water, fire, already accross). A very inspiring poem, btw.

The same parallel to meditation is also draw from dao de jing's chapter 10, where the absence of duality and the concepts of wu wei are dealt with

Very interesting stuff, has anyone read the book or care to comment on this any further?
