Hi again

A while ago I had a pretty heavy emotional experience and later that day when i went to bed just as i was about to fall asleep (my body was asleep but my mind was still a bit here) i saw a Phoenix made of smoke appear. It came into being from smoke strands coming in from below. i am assuming that the dream had connections with the happenings of that day...

Now finally I asked Yi about it and it answered with hex 50 ting.

There is speak of nourishment, about the wood feeding the fire above, and "about a man that succeeds in assigning the right place to life
and to fate, thus bringing the two into harmony
"

So i guess it is talking about something within me, emotionally, that needs to fall into place, and "feeding" a certain side of me. finding some sort of equilibrium.
What could that thing be...

But all this talk about God and fate - Am I missing the symbol here?

Most probably there are lots of symbols and conclusions to be drawn
from this dream, and its connection with 50. What stands out, the
way i see it, is new life, a new beginning.

"A legendary Arabian bird said to periodically burn itself to death and
emerge from the ashes as a new phoenix; according to most versions
only one phoenix lived at a time and it renewed itself every 500 years".

Fire is a strong common element, for both the Phoenix and 50. Fire
destroys, but it also cooks. What is outdated needs to 'burn'. Similarly
there's a strong message in 50 to cook something new. Start anew.
The possibility of great success is there if we start again. The phoenix
sounds like a very dramatic equivalent. Even when you think that
everything is burned into ashes, even when it seems that everything
is over and that there's no hope of any future happiness, there appears
out of nowhere a new phoenix, and thus a new situation is created, and
slowly brought into being.

The message seems to be that you absolutely can start anew and
start something new.

It suggests that you will be reborn from this relationship trauma and live to fight another day, so, its not the end but just a new beginning for you.

So, the cauldron, represents a new birth, a new life ahead of you, you add the necessary ingredients, simmer slowly and you'll get a feast out of it. Enjoy.

Yes thats a bit interesting, actually. The connection to the cooking in hex 50. I mean, the phoenix symbol in it self is pretty obvious and the dream or vision or whatever you want to call it is hard to interpret negatively (unless change freaks you out).
And as the wood in many ways feed the fire it just enhances the point...

On the funny side - Huang says this gua talks about feeding a large group of people, so maybe it just says I should drop everything and become a chef instead:)

I especilly like the slow simmering part. Take it easy and progress naturally....
