Hello everyone.
Just doing some reflection regarding my life, the passing year and the next year. The past few months feel like they're finally starting to level out after going through a tough personal situation as well as disagreements and betrayal from those close to me.

I wanted to get clarity on how to heal and recover, overall having a life that is stable and balanced. I asked this question and got the Hexagram 16 changing to 19.

From my limited understanding of iChing, i think hexagram 19 is telling me to allow the growth necessary and also that around the springtime maybe is when I'll begin to see the positive changes I'm looking for in my life and to focus my mind on progress and positive changes.

Hexagram 16 is called enthusiasm and other times I've seen it called approval. I don't study the Hexagram deeply as I've been down the rabbit hole and am literally overwhelmed with the different resources and think pieces I've seen written.

How I interpret it, it communicates feelings of celebration and states of unity/harmony when I just had the opposite of that happen... is it telling me to heal I should try being with new friends?

The people that I fell out with were close friends of a few years and lied to me, about me, and also has done hurtful things regarding me to the point I see no reconciling or coming together with them because it's not that I'm angry, I just don't trust her anymore and have no desire to cause its all just gossiping and drama. I honestly just wana be alone, just work and then come be in my room LOL

Does anyone have any idea how this hexagram is applicable in this reading when my question was more focused on me achieving life changes and not on other people or outside things? Is it saying to find time to celebrate things? All I really just want to do is throw myself into my work and get my life where I want it

Hex 16.1.2.4>19

Pretty much don't hesitate in what needs to be done to achieve what you want.
Hex 16 to me means dance, sing or whatever gets you out of yourself....do that!!

I think of 15. Modesty as one person modestly going through their life, doing what’s required and not making a big deal about themselves - just one normal person, acting on their own following their own single path. I see 16 then as the opposite, lots and lots of people moving about, each following their own path but all together it creates the whole carnival of life. The message seems to be that no matter what life goes on and that after a few false starts (16.1 overly Enthusiastic about ’friends’ you don’t really know?) if you are true to yourself you will find you attract friends who are honorable and right for you (16.4). I see 19 as strong encouragement not to give up!

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the help. I will do my best to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. And just start there. Knowing there is encouragement makes me feel a lot better honestly.

I have been in a slight pessimistic disposition the past few weeks so, I'm just gonna take this as the message giving me the jumpstart to turn things around. Thanks again!

This answer, 16.1.2.4, is spot on. It seems as if the oracle is trying to meet you exactly where you are, and to give you the best possible nugget of wisdom.

16.2 and 16.4 are what you know, what you get already.

16.2 is you being able to enforce your boundaries. Something happened that offended your self-respect, and so you left.

16.4 is you inspiring others--this is charisma, which isn't a conscious effect. There's something magnetic in you. This isn't to your credit, necessarily--you might be strikingly beautiful or self-possessed, and that creates a ripple effect whereever you go. You're sort of aware of this effect but don't let it get to your head; that kind of force if just meant to help other people, that's all.

16.1 is the fly in the ointment, the first moving line you'll have read, and the one that makes you go "ouch." What is it? You asked for a you-centered reading, so by that standard 16.1 is not (as I'd be inclined to read it) the other woman who hurt your feelings. 16.1 is perhaps the slightest possibility that your interpretation, your assumptions, are mistaken, or lacking some important details which only others outside your brain can supply. "Enthusiasm" is something that pulls you along--something external. 16.1 is primitive, half-cocked, not ready for prime time. It implies that you said or thought or decided or judged something on the fly, under pressure of the moment; and those thoughts or judgments or words didn't lead to any kind of hoped-for closure. On the contrary you're left with a kind of ringing in your ears, as if from somebody shouting--was it you who was shouting, or them? It doesn't feel right to say this, since I'm more inclined to reinforce your decision to withdraw from toxicity and focus on creating your own oasis, but maybe (as 16.1 implies) you going to work and coming home to your room alone doesn't quite do justice to what happened--even if it's just you having to rethink your judgment without ever contacting those who hurt you again, 16.1, along with 19, implies that in this case your judgment, your understanding of what really happened, will improve with time and care.

Maybe it's that aspect of it that drew you to cast the I Ching and to write here about it. 19 as a relating hexagram is a beautiful image. Whether it's a new stage of your self-understanding, an unexpected reconciliation, or something else, 19 implies that there's something growing here that needs your care and attention.

Thank you so much for helping me glean a deeper understanding. I read what you wrote in small bits. Revisting it to sit with it, because the words are so clear it literally makes me stop what I'm doing to reflect because I feel it's a very very accurate interpretation. I normally go to iching for this very type of insight because over the years it's so startlingly specific I have no choice but to listen to the wisdom being shared and also see things from different presepectives. Thank you so much and also you have quite a gift for eloquence and breaking down things in a way others can understand, an aspect I think is addressed in this throw as well haha
