I've started consulting the I Ching several months ago, and as I am still a beginner, I am following the threads on this site to better understand the hexagrams i receive. As I couldn't find a similar question, I need your help in interpreting hexagram 2.5 changing to 8.

My question: Is it the time to end my relationship with X?

Context: I've been seeing this man for several months now, and recently I've come to understand that he wants to be in an open relationship. Although I am happy to keep my options open as well, I get confused as his attitude fluctuates from affectionate to cold and impersonal. I was left with a bitter taste after our last meeting and realized that this relationship is not want I want, need nor deserve.

Any thoughts or interpretations are appreciated.

Thank you for your interpretation. I also feel that this is the right thing to do at this moment.

I just asked "what should be my approach in the relationship with X" and got 64.3.4.5 changing to 57...
