Hexagram 2. Should I stop communicating with these 2 people?

Hallo I received this hexagram unchanging after I asked the ching about my decision to stop speaking with these 2 people. At least for a period and at least not so much like now.
Two important people on my life, but with a very different emotional life.
I accepted their difference and I arrived to a place of no blame. I feel now to just accept all differences, without giving blame.
This led me to thinking that I could have a relationship with them.
But I seem to have problems anyway in the relationship, as if their coldness damages me, notwistanding my acceptance of their emotional coldness.
So I thought that maybe at least for a period I should stop contacting them, even if that means remaining alone.
Is the ching telling me that, at least for a period, better alone than this?
Could this answer be deceiving?
Can it happen that an answer is brought by our fears?
I am losing every friend and every job, do I have to lose also these 2 last people?
Who can help me? Thank you

The way a question is phrased is important. ”Yes-or-No” questions are hard to interpret because the hexagrams can give you a picture of your question but none say “Yes” or “No” Thus when you ask “Should I stop communicating with these 2 people?” The I Ching responds with an image of an empty field but does that mean, “Yes, stop communicating, don’t plant any more seeds in this barren ground” or it could be saying, “Mother Earth supports us all and though you don’t see anything now, with your steady cultivation love will grow“?
So see if you can come up with a question that is more suited to the I Ching’s ability to respond. You might try, “Show me a picture of how it would be for me if I stop communicating.” Or “How should I communicate?” Or “What positive influence do these people have on me?” You might also break it down further to “How to communicate with person 1? and “How to communicate with person 2?”
Meanwhile I do agree hex 2 does seem to be advising to give the relationship a rest for awhile.

Could this answer be deceiving?
Absolutely! Sometimes I worry about trivial things and when I ask for guidance the I Ching goes way over the top mocking my fears by saying things like, “OMG, you missed a phone call? This is horrible! A catastrophe!Terrible things are about to happen and we’re all going to die!!! Then I know to calm down and not be such a wuss.

Could it happen that an answer is brought by our fears?
Again, absolutely! Indeed, who knows where these answers come from? Sometimes I think there are a bunch of angels and idiots on duty and you never know which one is going to take your call. But mostly I think the answers we get mirror our situation and thus give us a chance to step back and see for ourselves what is to be done now that we’re not so caught up in our dramas.

Do I have to lose these 2 last people?
The world is going through a major time of transition now with Pluto leaving rule bound Capricorn and entering independence loving Aquarius. Many relationships including not just people but also our whole way of relating to life are being revised. If we’ve been slaves and now realize we can be our own masters it’s very upsetting to the slave drivers, with the result being much change and coming and going. Aim for letting what is going, go. Set your sights on what you want your new life to bring in..

Who can help me?
The I Ching, of course!

Well...I don't know.

Hexagram 2 is about being accepting, like a field accepts what's planted in it and makes it grow.

But you got it in unchanging form, which as Hilary said recently in Change Circle can put a question mark over the reading.

I could invent a couple of possible reasons for a question mark in yours. You said them yourself.
  • How is being receptive working out?
  • Is it something you can continue to do?
Or, maybe Yi means it as an instruction: just keep going with the acceptance.

I have no idea how to know which of those Yi intended, but your idea seems reasonable. Temporarily take a break, and see what happens. No need to announce this and burn bridges, just withdraw on your own for a while.

I asked again: how should the relationship with A be? Answer 27.
And: how should the relationship with B be? Answer 58.1.4.5 to 7.
What do you think?
